Resolving Cyber Security Issues in 6G Networks Using Blockchain Technology and Quantum Computing

Arun Agarwal, Akankshya Jena, Pratyusha Mohanty

The sixth-generation wireless communication$(6 \mathrm{G})$promises advancements in speed, latency, and connectivity to facilitate revolutionary technology like holographic communication, extensive AI, and Internet of Everything (IoE). Such breakthroughs come with sophisticated cyber security issues like ultra-dynamic attack surfaces, decentralized device systems, and quantum-vulnerable encryption protocols. To counter these challenges, this paper investigates the application of blockchain technology and quantum computing as solutions for 6G cyber security improvement. Blockchain provides a tamper-proofed, decentralized system that guarantees data integrity, secure authentication, and transparent access control among heterogeneous devices. However, quantum computing also provides solutions such as post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) that can enhance communication resilience against quantum and conventional assaults.

Quantum Connected Collaborative Learning with Superdense Coding for Wireless Internet-of-Everything Networks

Goki F. R. Purba, Bhaskara Narottama, Saeed R. Khosravirad +2 more

In recent years, distributed wireless communication optimization, where training data is stored remotely from local multi-access edge computing (MEC) processors to preserve data security privacy and minimize complexity, has seen noteworthy progress for relevant wireless Internet-of-Everything (WIoE) networks beyond 6G. Nonetheless, the exploding number of WIoE clients requires secure data storage and scaled data processing at the network and transmitter, which local processors might be unable to afford. Parallel to this, we are witnessing widespread quantum-enabled learning adoptions for optimizing wireless communications. The rapid growth of quantum technologies has introduced security concerns for classical channels, due to their potential to undermine classical cryptographic approaches. This paper, therefore, considers the adoption of quantum-enabled learning with quantum communication protocol, especially quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) via superdense coding. While the processing learning happens across different locations for next-generation WIoE networks, the QSDC prevents vulnerabilities of data poisoning and model stealing in connected quantum collaborative learning.

Quantum Cryptography Using Blockchain for 6G Enabled Internet of Vehicles

Stuti Bhatt, Sachin Sharma

The advent of 6G technology opens new horizons for communication systems, particularly in the context of Internet of Vehicles (IoV). This interconnected ecosystem facilitates innovative IoT applications, revolutionizing intra-vehicle and inter-vehicle communications. However, the extensive cellular infrastructure of 6G introduces unprecedented security challenges, demanding advanced defense mechanisms against cyber threats. Quantum cryptography emerges as a robust solution, offering rapid and secure communication channels among vehicles while ensuring data integrity. By harnessing the principles of quantum mechanics such as entanglement and superposition, quantum cryptography enables secure data transmission immune to interception or manipulation. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the integration of quantum cryptography with blockchain technology in the context of 6G-enabled IoV. Furthermore, leveraging the processing capabilities of edge nodes, the proposed framework prioritizes critical 6G Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including trustworthiness, latency, connectivity, data rate, and energy consumption. Through this approach, this paper explores the potential of quantum cryptography and blockchain within the further evolving landscape of 6G-enabled Internet of vehicle security.
