Optical tomography dynamics induced by qubit-resonator interaction under intrinsic decoherence

Abstract

A superconducting circuit with a qubit and a resonator coupled via a two-photon interaction is considered. When the resonator is initially in a superposition of coherent states, optical tomography and quantum coherence dynamics are examined in the context of intrinsic decoherence. The results reveal that optical tomography is a good quantifier of the quantum coherence produced by the qubit-resonator interaction. The effects of qubit-resonator detuning and intrinsic decoherence on the dynamics of optical tomography distributions for coherent and even coherent states are investigated. The dynamics of optical tomography distributions are highly dependent on detuning and intrinsic decoherence. Our numerical simulations reveal that there is a relation between the optical tomography and the generated quantum coherence. When the qubit-resonator detuning and intrinsic decoherence are augmented, the amplitude and intensity, as well as the structure of the optical tomography, change substantially.

Quantum coherence induced by a flux qubit coupled by a resonator coherent field through a two-photon interaction

A-B A Mohamed, H. A. Hessian, Fuad S. Alduais +1 more

Abstract The intrinsic decoherence effects on a flux qubit coupled to a resonator through a two-photon interaction where the resonator field is initially in coherent and even coherent states are investigated. The qubit-resonator entanglement and coherence loss (mixedness) of the system and its subsystems are examined using entropy and negativity. The ability of the qubit-resonator interaction to generate quantum coherence (qubit-resonator entanglement and mixedness) is shown to be dependent on the initial cavity non-classicality, detuning, and decoherence. For larger values of the qubit-resonator detuning, the initial resonator non-classicality can enhance the generation and stability of quantum coherence. The decoherence degrades the qubit-resonator entanglement and destroys the sudden death-birth entanglement.

Two-qubit quantum nonlocality dynamics induced by interacting of two coupled superconducting flux qubits with a resonator under intrinsic decoherence

A.‐B. A. Mohamed, Hatem Rmili, Mohamed Omri +1 more

This paper explores the dynamics of two spatially separated superconducting flux qubits, initially in a maximally correlated state, without mutual interaction. The system is modeled using the master intrinsic decoherence equation with the flux-qubits-resonator interaction Hamiltonian. The effects of initial state, detuning, and decoherence on the generated oscillatory correlation dynamics and the sudden death-birth phenomenon of the two flux-qubits entanglement are examined. The results demonstrate that qubit-resonator-qubit interactions have a high ability to generate quantum interferometric power and local quantum uncertainty correlations beyond that of concurrence entanglement.

Optical tomography dynamics for generated coherent field states induced by a Ξ-type qutrit interacting nonlinearly with a cavity: Kerr-like medium and decoherence effects

Mostafa Hashem, M M Elkhateeb, A.‐B. A. Mohamed +2 more

Abstract This paper presents a comprehensive investigation into the complex dynamics of optical tomography and quantum coherence within a nonlinear interaction system. The system under study is composed of an Ξ-type qutrit and a deformed cavity-field, analyzed for two distinct initial states: coherent states and even coherent states. Our analysis thoroughly considers the influence of intrinsic decoherence, a critical factor in understanding quantum system evolution. This study explores the remarkable sensitivity of optical tomography distributions (OTDs) to key parameters, including the initial state, evolution time, and the effects of a Kerr-like nonlinearity. We demonstrate that while coherent states initially appear classical, they display early-stage quantum interference due to their intrinsic parity symmetry, evolving into intricate patterns over time. This evolution is particularly susceptible to intrinsic decoherence, which significantly dampens these quantum features. Our findings show that the OTD is a powerful tool for tracking coherence loss and for accurately capturing the combined effects of nonlinearity and state symmetry on a system’s quantum state.

Dynamics of trade-off relations between quantum information resources in two qubits interacting individually and nonlinearly with a cavity: Decoherence model

Fahad Aljuaydi, A-B A Mohamed, Mostafa Hashem

The dynamics of trade-off relations between quantum information resources are investigated in a system of two non-interacting qubits, each individually and nonlinearly coupled to coherent cavity fields through intensity-dependent coupling. The qubits are initially prepared in a maximally entangled Bell state, while the cavity fields are assumed to be in coherent states. An exact analytical treatment of the reduced two-qubit density matrix is presented under qubit–cavity detuning and intrinsic decoherence governed by the Milburn model. The time evolutions of first-order coherence, concurrence, intrinsic concurrence and purity are analyzed to elucidate the redistribution of quantum resources. The results confirm that intrinsic concurrence and first-order coherence obey a complementary trade-off relation governed by the purity of the two-qubit state, with standard concurrence acting as a lower bound for intrinsic concurrence throughout the dynamics. The roles of the initial coherent field intensity, qubit–cavity detuning and intrinsic decoherence are examined, showing that nonlinear atom–cavity interactions induce regular oscillatory behavior accompanied by entanglement sudden death and revival phenomena. Increasing the coherent field intensity enhances coherence generation and accelerates entanglement degradation of the generated two-qubit states.

Exploring optical tomography dynamics for a dissipative coherent cavity in interaction with two-level atomic system

A.‐B. A. Mohamed, Tahani A. Alrebdi, Fatemah Homoud Alkallas +2 more

In this paper, we explore the optical tomography and quantum coherence dynamics for a coherent cavity field interacting with a two-level atom via intensity dependent coupling. We derive a specific solution to the master equation for the Jaynes–Cummings model, considering cavity damping. This solution reveals how the atom coherent-cavity interactions can produce new coherent states when the initial dissipative cavity-field state is coherent state or even coherent state. The effects of the atom-coherent-cavity interactions and the cavity damping, on the dynamics of the initial coherent state optical tomography and coherence is examined. In addition to the nonclassical properties, the atom–cavity interactions have a remarkable capacity to form distinct cavity field states linked to certain optical tomography distributions. Additionally, we investigate the maximal optical tomography dynamics for coherent state and even coherent state considering a range of cavity damping and detuning values.
