Quantum Tomography of Two-Qutrit Werner States

Abstract

In this article, we introduce a framework for two-qutrit Werner states tomography with Gaussian noise. The measurement scheme is based on the symmetric, informationally complete positive operator-valued measure. To make the framework realistic, we impose the Gaussian noise on the measured states numbers. Through numerical simulation, we successfully reconstructed the two-qutrit Werner states in various experimental scenarios and analyzed the optimal scenario from four aspects: fidelity, purity, entanglement, and coherence.

Quantifying entanglement of two-qubit Werner states

Artur Czerwiński

Abstract In this article, we introduce a framework for entanglement quantification of photon pairs represented by two-qubit Werner states. The measurement scheme is based on the symmetric informationally complete POVM. To make the framework realistic, we impose the Poisson noise on the measured two-photon coincidences. For various settings, numerical simulations were performed to evaluate the efficiency of the framework.

Quantum tomography of three-qubit generalized Werner states

Artur Czerwiński

In this paper, we introduce a numerical framework for quantum tomography and entanglement quantification of three-qubit generalized Werner states. The scheme involves the single-qubit symmetric, informationally complete, positive operator-valued measure (SIC-POVM), which is then generalized to perform three-qubit measurements. We introduce random errors into the scheme by imposing the Poisson noise on the measured photon counts. The precision of state estimation is quantified and presented on graphs. As a special case, we compare the efficiency of the framework for the pure three-qubit generalized Werner state and the W state. The reconstructed states are presented graphically and discussed.

Werner state tomography based on multiple noises and fiber attenuation

Haigang Wang, Kan He

Abstract In this paper, we establish a new quantum state tomography model that fits the real environment very well. In our model, the number of photons emitted by the photon source is a random number of Gaussian distribution. The emitted photons are attenuated by a fiber, resulting in a binomial distribution of photons arriving at the detector. In the process of measurement, we impose Poisson noise, which makes the number of photons measured each time assume Poisson distribution. The quantum states are reconstructed from photon counts obtained for symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measures, and consider the influence of noise on the measurement operators. We study the quantum tomography efficiency of any two-qubit Werner state in our model. We obtained the relationship between the tomographic efficiency and multiple variables of the model through numerical simulation. PACS numbers: 03.67.Mn, 03.65.Ud, 03.67.-a

Minimum tomography of two entangled qutrits using local measurements of one-qutrit symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measure

Wanderson M. Pimenta, Breno Marques, Thiago O. Maciel +4 more

An experimental demonstration of two-qutrit state tomography via one-qutrit symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measure (SIC-POVM) is presented. A two-qutrit state is encoded in the transversal paths of a spontaneous parametric down-converted photon pair. A spatial light modulator allows us to implement the necessary 81 POVM elements to reconstruct the state. The quality of the reconstruction is evaluated by comparing independent measurements with the predicted results calculated with the reconstructed state. Entanglement in the system is calculated via negativity and generalized robustness from the two-qutrit reconstructed density operator.
