Abstract

We study the classification of entanglement in tripartite systems by using Bell-type inequalities and principal basis. By using Bell unctions and the generalized three dimensional Pauli operators, we present a set of Bell inequalities which classifies the entanglement of triqutrit fully separable and bi-separable mixed states. By using the correlation tensors in the principal basis representation of density matrices, we obtain separability criteria for fully separable and bi-separable 2 ⊗ 2 ⊗ 3 quantum mixed states. Detailed example is given to illustrate our criteria in classifying the tripartite entanglement.

Bell inequalities classifying biseparable three-qubit states

Bao-Zhi Sun, Shao-Ming Fei

We present a set of Bell inequalities that gives rise to a finer classification of the entanglement for tripartite systems. These inequalities distinguish three possible biseparable entanglements for three-qubit states. The three Bell operators we employed constitute an external sphere of the separable cube.

Classification and measure of entanglement in three-qubit systems

Carlos Sabín, Guillermo García Alcaine

We present a classification of three-qubit states based in their three-qubit and reduced two-qubit entanglements. For pure states these criteria can be easily implemented, and the different types can be related with sets of equivalence classes under Local Unitary operations. For mixed states characterization of full tripartite entanglement is not yet solved in general; some partial results will be presented here. I.

A New Method of Classification of Pure Tripartite Quantum States

Jyoti Faujdar, Anoopa Joshi, Satyabrata Adhikari

The classification of the multipartite entanglement is an important problem in quantum information theory. We propose a class of two qubit mixed states $σ_{AB}= p|χ_{1}\rangle\langleχ_{1}|\otimesρ_{1}+(1-p)|χ_{2}\rangle\langleχ_{2}|\otimesρ_{2}$, where $|χ_{1}\rangle=α|0\rangle+β|1\rangle$, $|χ_{2}\rangle=β|0\rangle+(-1)^{n}α|1\rangle$. We have shown that the state $σ_{AB}$ represent a classical state when $n$ is odd while it represent a non-classical state when $n$ is even. The purification of the state $σ_{AB}$ is studied and found that the purification is possible if the spectral decomposition of the density matrices $ρ_{1}$ and $ρ_{2}$ represent pure states. We have established a relationship between three tangle, which measures the amount of entanglement in three qubit system and the quantity $\langleχ_{1}|χ_{2}\rangle$, which identifies whether the two qubit mixed state is classical or non-classical. The three qubit purified state is then classified as a separable or biseparable or W-type or GHZ-type state using the quantum correlation, measured by geometric discord, of its reduced two qubit density matrix.

Separability and classification of multipartite quantum states

Pan-Wen Ma, Hui Zhao, Naihuan Jing

Abstract We study separability in arbitrary multipartite quantum systems based on principal base matrices. Necessary conditions are presented for different kinds of separable states. These conditions can give a complete classification of multipartite quantum states. While the usual Bloch representation of a density matrix uses three types of generators, the representation with principal base matrices has one uniform type of generator which simplifies computation. In this paper, we take advantage of this simplicity to derive useful and operational criteria to detect multipartite separability. We first obtain criteria on detecting 1 − 3 separable, 2 − 2 separable, 1 − 1 − 2 separable and fully separable four-partite quantum states. We then study k-separability for multipartite quantum states in arbitrary dimensions. Detailed examples are given to show that our criteria are able to detect more entanglement states than some existing criteria.

Classification and monogamy of three-qubit biseparable Bell correlations

Michael Seevinck

We strengthen the set of Bell-type inequalities presented by Sun and Fei [Phys. Rev. A 74, 032335 (2006)] that give a classification for biseparable correlations and entanglement in tripartite quantum systems. We will furthermore consider the restriction to local orthogonal spin observables and show that this strengthens all previously known such tripartite inequalities. The quadratic inequalities we find indicate a type of monogamy of maximal biseparable tripartite quantum correlations, although the nonmaximal ones can be shared. This is contrasted to recently found monogamy inequalities for bipartite Bell correlations in tripartite systems.

Identification of three-qubit entanglement

Ming‐Jing Zhao, Ting-Gui Zhang, Xianqing Li‐Jost +1 more

We present a way of identifying all kinds of entanglement for three-qubit pure states in terms of the expectation values of Pauli operators. The necessary and sufficient conditions to classify the fully separable, biseparable, and genuine entangled states are explicitly given. The approach can be generalized to multipartite high-dimensional cases. For three-qubit mixed states, we propose two kinds of inequalities in terms of the expectation values of complementary observables. One inequality has advantages in entanglement detection of the quantum state with positive partial transpositions, and the other is able to detect genuine entanglement. The results give an effective method for experimental entanglement identification.

The classification of the multipartite entanglement is an important problem in quantum information theory. We propose a class of two qubit mixed states σAB=p∣χ1⟩⟨χ1∣⊗ρ1+(1−p)∣χ2⟩⟨χ2∣⊗ρ2σ_{AB}= p|χ_{1}\rangle\langleχ_{1}|\otimesρ_{1}+(1-p)|χ_{2}\rangle\langleχ_{2}|\otimesρ_{2}σAB=p∣χ1⟩⟨χ1∣⊗ρ1+(1−p)∣χ2⟩⟨χ2∣⊗ρ2, where ∣χ1⟩=α∣0⟩+β∣1⟩|χ_{1}\rangle=α|0\rangle+β|1\rangle∣χ1⟩=α∣0⟩+β∣1⟩, ∣χ2⟩=β∣0⟩+(−1)nα∣1⟩|χ_{2}\rangle=β|0\rangle+(-1)^{n}α|1\rangle∣χ2⟩=β∣0⟩+(−1)nα∣1⟩. We have shown that the state σABσ_{AB}σAB represent a classical state when nnn is odd while it represent a non-classical state when nnn is even. The purification of the state σABσ_{AB}σAB is studied and found that the purification is possible if the spectral decomposition of the density matrices ρ1ρ_{1}ρ1 and ρ2ρ_{2}ρ2 represent pure states.
