Quantum Error Correction Codes in Consumer Technology: Modeling and Analysis

Vikram Singh Thakur, Atul Kumar, Jishnu Das +2 more

Quantum technology has the transformative potential to impact various industries, including consumer technology, by applying quantum systems. However, the quantum systems are inherently sensitive to errors and decoherence, necessitating the development of quantum error correction (QEC) codes to mitigate these issues and preserve the integrity of quantum information while ensuring the reliability of quantum operations. Motivated by this, the main objective of this paper is to provide an analysis of the QEC code, emphasizing its key features and potential benefits. The analysis includes a comprehensive review of current QEC codes, a detailed theoretical examination of prevailing methodologies, and an exploration of quantum gate circuits to evaluate code feasibility and practical implementation. The findings demonstrate that integrating QEC codes enhances quantum state fidelity and error reduction, ensuring the reliability and stability of quantum devices for more accurate and dependable quantum operations. This analysis enhances the understanding of the potential of QEC codes to improve the performance and feasibility of quantum devices in consumer applications.

Quantum molecular sensing, communication and processing by photons

Sergey Edward Lyshevski

This paper examines various engineered and natural photonic and biophotonic systems. To analyze and design microscopic systems, we examine quantum phenomena which are exhibited and utilized. Quantum effects and photonic technology are widely used in biotechnology, communication, electronics, medicine and other applications. Basic research and discoveries in photonics and biophotonics are foundations of science and engineering in developing new knowledge bases, systems and technologies beyond currently available. Advances are needed in computer-brain interfacing, photoelectronics, optogenetics, neurophotonics, etc. With a focus on practical engineered devices, we perform quantum analysis and propose enabling solutions. Our three-fold objectives are: (1) Examine microscopic systems; (2) Study phenomena, effects and mechanisms possibly utilized by natural systems to accomplish sensing, communication and processing; (3) Devise novel microscopic systems by researching solutions which may enable a knowledge base and discover new sensing and processing capabilities comparable to exhibited by living organisms. Our transformative findings are substantiated by means of basic, applied and numerical studies which are consistent with experiments, biophysics and quantum mechanics.
