Analysis of errors in linear-optics quantum computation

Shigeki Takeuchi

The origin of errors in quantum computation implemented by linear optics is studied. The systematic errors of quantum gates, phase relaxation, amplitude dumping, and misreadout are considered as error sources, and the errors which occurred in a four-bit Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm experiment are categorized according to the sources. The increase in the error rate with the expansion of the input size in the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm is also studied and it was found that the demonstration of 11 qubits using linear optics and a single photon with less than a 20% error rate is achievable by the technique used in the experiment.

QuantQueryEXP : A novel strategic approach for query expansion based on quantum computing principles

Ishwar S. Kaushik, Gerard Deepak, A. Santhanavijayan

In our current world, numerous innovative approaches aimed at expansion and recommendation of queries are developing to satisfy the mounting tendencies of social networking and the internet. Many effectual procedures have been developed to achieve query expansion. Additionally, the creation of quantum-based procedures is now becoming an important task. Quantum based algorithms are the way to secure the future of computation by preparing for the advent of quantum computers. QuantQueryEXP implements an eminent technique, the Deutsch-Jozsa [1] algorithm, in an altered manner, delivering a substitute for expansion and recommendation of queries implementing quantum techniques which offers much higher accuracy with optimization in complexity over any conventional algorithm to achieve supremacy in quantum computing. QuantQueryEXP attains an accuracy of 90.43% along with great optimization of resource and temporal complexity.

A Cavity QED Implementation of Deutsch-Jozsa Algorithm

E. S. Guerra

The Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm is a generalization of the Deutsch algorithm which was the first algorithm written. We present schemes to implement the Deutsch algorithm and the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm via cavity QED.
