Abstract

Wigner–Dunkl quantum mechanics can be viewed as deformed quantum mechanics, where the commutator between canonical momentum and position operators contains in addition a reflection operator. In the present work we carry over the general concepts of supersymmetric (SUSY) quantum mechanics to the Wigner–Dunkl quantum formulation. We investigate the SUSY ground states, the SUSY transformations and introduce a generalized shape invariance allowing for explicit solutions. In this way, exact solutions for a certain class of SUSY potentials can be provided. As example the harmonic oscillator is considered. We also take a look into a singular oscillator model, which does not belong to the shape-invariance class. Nevertheless, exact solutions can be provided, showing the peculiarities of that model in the SUSY Wigner–Dunkl quantum mechanics. A modification of that singular model is presented which restores shape invariance

Hidden Supersymmetry in Wigner-Yang Quantum Mechanics

Georg Junker

We consider a quantum system on the real line obeying a deformed Heisenberg algebra originally proposed by Wigner in 1950. Its explicit coordinate representation was provided by Yang in 1951 and in essence is identical in form with Dunkl's difference-differential operator introduced in 1989 in connection with roots systems of refection groups. Under certain conditions such quantum systems exhibit a supersymmetric (SUSY) structure where the reflection operator acts as the grading operator. We present a generalisation of Yang's representation by first considering only of one the two equations of motion in phase space. The corresponding non-interacting system is found to represent Witten's model of SUSY quantum mechanics. Imposing also the second equation of motion the original result of Wigner and Yang is reconsidered by extending their discussion to general symmetric potentials on the real line. As explicit example we discuss the harmonic oscillator and an attractive Coulomb-like potential $V(x)=-γ/|x|$. We also establish a Hooke-Newton duality between this Coulomb-like system and the original Wigner-Yang harmonic oscillator system.

Complex phase space formulation of supersymmetric quantum mechanics: analysis of shape-invariant potentials

Aishwarya Parthasarathi, Dayanand Parashar, R. S. Kaushal

With a view to increasing the scope of applications of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY QM), we formulate the same in a complex phase space. Within this framework, the concept of shape invariance is reinvestigated and an insight into the eigenvalue spectra of non-Hermitian Hamiltonians is sought. The results are applied to a variety of potentials. We claim that the shape invariance for these potentials in the complex phase space can be retrieved in terms of the prescriptions already proposed in the conventional SUSY QM, in that the transformation of potential parameters takes the form of a reflection in the parameter space. Interestingly, some of these features turn out to be the generalization of the concept of quasi-parity used recently in the context of SUSY QM of PT-symmetric potentials. Further, a correspondence of the present approach with other complex formulations of SUSY QM and also in two real dimensions is demonstrated.

Quantum deformations offer valuable perspectives into quantum mechanics, particularly by advancing our understanding of symmetry and algebraic structures. The Dunkl oscillator, which integrates Dunkl operators into the harmonic oscillator framework, advances the system’s algebraic properties and opens new approaches for exploring quantum phenomena. Supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SSQM) unifies bosonic and fermionic aspects and facilitates the construction of solvable models using generalized Dunkl operators. This paper introduces a new approach to the Dunkl oscillator, employing a complex reflection operator to deepen the understanding of its connection to Hermite polynomials on radial lines. Testing $(q)$-Deformed Dunkl-Fokker-Planck Equation Algebra with Supersymmetry (SUSY) and Foldy-Wouthuysen (FW) Measurement

Abdelmalek Bouzenada

In this study, a relativistic formulation of the $(q)$-deformed Dunkl-Fokker-Planck equation in $(1+1)$-dimensions is constructed within the reflection-deformed quantum framework. In this case, the formalism includes $(q)$-deformed Dunkl operators and reflection symmetry to build a generalized dynamical structure for a relativistic quantum systems framework. Moreover, the corresponding $(q)$-Wigner-Dunkl supersymmetric configuration is established via the construction of deformed ladder operators and supersymmetric algebraic relations, yielding a consistent spectral representation of the model within the algebraic framework. The analysis extends to the harmonic oscillator with centrifugal interaction, where exact algebraic solutions, similarity reduction techniques, and closed energy spectra are obtained analytically in detail. The role of the deformation parameter and reflection operator on spectral properties and wavefunction structure is examined systematically in detail. A generalized Foldy-Wouthuysen (FW) transformation is introduced within the deformed Dunkl framework to achieve relativistic decoupling of positive- and negative-energy sectors within the present theoretical formulation. In this case, this approach yields an effective reduced Hamiltonian, including higher-order relativistic and deformation-induced terms. Also, the associated Dunkl-Fokker-Planck dynamics generated through high-order FW reduction are examined in detail for reflection-deformed relativistic quantum systems. In this context, results obtained here yield a unified algebraic and relativistic description of $(q)$-deformed Dunkl structures and construct a consistent framework for investigating supersymmetric and relativistic properties in reflection-symmetric quantum models in general.

On the path integral formulation of Wigner–Dunkl quantum mechanics

Georg Junker

Abstract Feynman’s path integral approach is studied in the framework of the Wigner–Dunkl deformation of quantum mechanics. We start with reviewing some basics from Dunkl theory and investigate the time evolution of a Gaussian wave packet, which exhibits the same dispersion relation as observed in standard quantum mechanics. Feynman’s path integral approach is then extended to Wigner–Dunkl quantum mechanics. The harmonic oscillator problem is solved explicitly. We then look at the Euclidean time evolution and the related Dunkl process. This process, which exhibit jumps, can be represented by two continuous Bessel processes, one with reflection and one with absorption at the origin. The Feynman–Kac path integral for the harmonic oscillator problem is explicitly calculated.

Non-Hermitian inverted harmonic oscillator-type Hamiltonians generated from supersymmetry with reflections

R. D. Mota, D. Ojeda-Guillén, M. Salazar–Ramírez +1 more

By modifying and generalizing known supersymmetric models, we are able to find four different sets of one-dimensional Hamiltonians for the inverted harmonic oscillator. The first set of Hamiltonians is derived by extending the supersymmetric quantum mechanics with reflections to non-Hermitian supercharges. The second set is obtained by generalizing the supersymmetric quantum mechanics valid for non-Hermitian supercharges with the Dunkl derivative instead of [Formula: see text]. Also, by changing the derivative [Formula: see text] by the Dunkl derivative in the creation and annihilation-type operators of the standard inverted harmonic oscillator [Formula: see text], we generate the third set of Hamiltonians. The fourth set of Hamiltonians emerges by allowing a parameter of the supersymmetric two-body Calogero-type model to take imaginary values. The eigensolutions of definite parity for each set of Hamiltonians are given.
