The fidelity of quantum states is an important concept in quantum information. Improving quantum fidelity is very important for both quantum communication and quantum computation. In this paper, we use a quantum neural network (QNN) to enhance the fidelity of [6, 2, 2] quantum convolutional codes. Towards the circuit of quantum convolutional codes, the target quantum state |0⟩ or |1⟩ is turned into entangled quantum states, which can defend against quantum noise more effectively. As the quantum neural network works better for quantum states with low dimension, we divide the quantum circuits into two parts. Then we apply the quantum neural network to each part of the circuit. The results of the simulation show that the network performs well in enhancing the fidelity of the quantum states. Through the quantum neural network, the fidelity of the first part is enhanced from 95.2% to 99.99%, and the fidelity of the second part is enhanced from 93.88% to 94.57%.

Entanglement distribution is important in quantum communication. Since there is no information with value in this process, purification is a good choice to solve channel noise. In this paper, we simulate the purification circuit under true environment on Cirq, which is a noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) platform. Besides, we apply quantum neural network (QNN) to the state after purification. We find that combining purification and quantum neural network has good robustness towards quantum noise. After general purification, quantum neural network can improve fidelity significantly without consuming extra states. It also helps to obtain the advantage of entangled states with higher dimension under amplitude damping noise. Thus, the combination can bring further benefits to purification in entanglement distribution.
Quantum neural networks (QNNs) leverage the strengths of both quantum computing and neural networks, offering solutions to challenges that are often beyond the reach of traditional neural networks. QNNs are being used in areas such as computer games, function approximation, and big data processing. Moreover, quantum neural network algorithms are finding utility in social network modeling, associative memory systems, and automatic control mechanisms. Nevertheless, ensuring the reliability of quantum neural networks is crucial as it directly influences network performance and stability. To investigate the reliability of quantum neural networks, this paper proposes a methodology wherein operator measurements are performed on the final states of the output quantum states of a quantum neural network. The proximity of these measurements to the target value is compared, and the fidelity value, combined with a quantum gate operation, is utilized to assess the reliability of the quantum neural network. Through network training, the results demonstrate that, under optimal parameters, both the fidelity of the final state measurement value and the target value of the model approach are approximately equal to 1. It indicates that training mitigates the errors stemming from encoding into the initial quantum state, thereby resulting in enhanced system reliability and accuracy.
With the beginning of the noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) era, quantum neural network (QNN) has recently emerged as a solution for the problems that classical neural networks cannot solve. Moreover, QCNN is attracting attention as the next generation of QNN because it can process high-dimensional vector input. However, due to the nature of quantum computing, it is difficult for the classical QCNN to extract a sufficient number of features. Motivated by this, we propose a new version of QCNN, named scalable quantum convolutional neural network (sQCNN). In addition, using the fidelity of QC, we propose an sQCNN training algorithm named reverse fidelity training (RF-Train) that maximizes the performance of sQCNN.
