Abstract

Quantum Hamiltonian systems of lattice type are considered which are associated with classical finite-dimensional Lie algebras [like MH(2), SO(3), etc.], and possess complete integrability properties. The canonical Heisenberg ${p}_{n}$, ${q}_{n}$ variables are found for these Hamiltonian systems and it is shown how to construct their $S$ matrices. These new Hamiltonians are generalizations of the quantum Toda lattice Hamiltonian as well as $\mathrm{XXX}$ models of statistical mechanics.

Algebraic Construction of Quantum Integrable Models Including Inhomogeneous Models

Anjan Kundu

Exploiting the quantum integrability condition we construct an ancestor model associated with a new underlying quadratic algebra. This ancestor model represents an exactly integrable quantum lattice inhomogeneous anisotropic model and at its various realizations and limits can generate a wide range of integrable models. They cover quantum lattice as well as field models associated with the quantum $R$-matrix of trigonometric type or at the undeformed $q \\to 1$ limit similar models belonging to the rational class. The classical limit likewise yields the corresponding classical discrete and field models. Thus along with the generation of known integrable models in a unifying way a new class of inhomogeneous models including variable mass sine-Gordon model, inhomogeneous Toda chain, impure spin chains etc. are constructed.

Classicalr-matrices and integrable BCS models with many types of fermions

T. Skrypnyk

Based on generalized Gaudin models and Lie algebras so (2 m ), we construct two integrable cases of the pairing BCS Hamiltonians containing m types of ‘spinless’ fermions. They are the so-called s -type and p x + i p y -type BCS Hamiltonians. In the particular case of the Lie algebra so (8), the constructed models can be viewed as N = Z proton–neutron integrable models. We find the spectrum of the constructed Hamiltonians in terms of solutions of Bethe-type equations.

“Twisted” rational r-matrices and the algebraic Bethe ansatz: Applications to generalized Gaudin models, Bose–Hubbard dimers, and Jaynes–Cummings–Dicke-type models

T. Skrypnyk

We construct quantum integrable systems associated with the Lie algebra gl ( n ) and non-skew-symmetric “shifted and twisted” rational r-matrices. The obtained models include Gaudin-type models with and without an external magnetic field, n-level ( n −1)-mode Jaynes–Cummings–Dicke-type models in the Λ-configuration, a vector generalization of Bose–Hubbard dimers, etc. We diagonalize quantum Hamiltonians of the constructed integrable models using a nested Bethe ansatz.

Integrability and superintegrability of the generalized n-level many-mode Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke models

T. Skrypnyk

We analyze symmetries of the integrable generalizations of Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke models associated with simple Lie algebras g and their reductive subalgebras gK [T. Skrypnyk, “Generalized n-level Jaynes-Cummings and Dicke models, classical rational r-matrices and nested Bethe ansatz,” J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 41, 475202 (2008)]. We show that their symmetry algebras contain commutative subalgebras isomorphic to the Cartan subalgebras of g, which can be added to the commutative algebras of quantum integrals generated with the help of the quantum Lax operators. We diagonalize additional commuting integrals and constructed with their help the most general integrable quantum Hamiltonian of the generalized n-level many-mode Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke-type models using nested algebraic Bethe ansatz.

Generalizedn-level Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke models, classical rationalr-matrices and algebraic Bethe ansatz

T. Skrypnyk

We construct integrable n -level generalizations of Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke models corresponding to the simple (reductive) Lie algebras of rank n . We show that for each such Lie algebra there exist many integrable Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke-type models each of which is associated with the reductive subalgebras containing Cartan subalgebra and is obtained via reduction from Jaynes–Cummings or Dicke-type models with a maximal number of bosons. We diagonalize the constructed Jaynes–Cummings and Dicke-type Hamiltonians in the physically most interesting case of using a nested algebraic Bethe ansatz.

New boundary conditions for integrable lattices

V B Kuznetsov, M F Jorgensen, P L Christiansen

New boundary conditions for classical integrable nonlinear lattices of the XXX type, such as the Heisenberg chain and the Toda lattice, are presented. These integrable extensions are formulated in terms of a generic XXX Heisenberg magnet interacting with two additional spins at each end of the chain. The construction uses the most general rank-1 ansatz for the 2*2 L-operator satisfying the reflection equation algebra with rational r-matrix. The associated quadratic algebra is shown to be that of dynamical symmetry for the A 1 and BC 2 Calogero-Moser problems. Other physical realizations of our quadratic algebra are also considered.
