STRONGLY CORRELATED QUANTUM DYNAMICS OF MULTIMODE LIGHT COUPLED TO A TWO-LEVEL ATOM IN A CAVITY

T. KUMAR, A. B. BHATTACHERJEE, Man Mohan

We study a composite multimode light-two-level atom system in a cavity. We show that coupling of the two-level atom to multiple modes of the light destroys the Mott phase of the composite system thus making the system less useful platform for developing concepts in quantum information processing.

PHOTON CROSS CORRELATIONS IN A COUPLED BIMODAL SYSTEM

Roscoe C. Williams

When two atoms are coupled by an interaction potential, they can emit electrons simultaneously into different modes. For a coupled bimodal system, this effect (coupling) causes the line widths and amplitudes of the modes to differ.

ENTANGLEMENT OF TWO DIPOLE-COUPLED ATOMS INTERACTING WITH TWO-MODE THERMAL FIELD IN THE CAVITY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE

Eugene K. Bashkirov, M.S. Mastygin

The entanglement of two dipole-coupled atoms with nondegenerate two-photon transitions interacting with two-mode field in lossless cavity has been investigated. The possibility of considerable growth of atomic entanglement is shown in the case of great mean values of thermal photons.
