Dense Summary of New Developments in Quantum Mechanics

Espen Gaarder Haug

In this note, we present a table with a summary of recent developments in quantum mechanics. If you not have studied our papers carefully already [1–4], then this paper will not make much sense and the equations could easily be misunderstood, so we strongly encourage the reader to become familiar with this material first. We will possibly write a long paper on this topic later, but it may be helpful to present the essence of both old and new QM, as we understand it today. This is useful for both tracing the history of ideas related to QM in mathematical form and for creating an opportunity to compare equations and analyze their similarities and differences.

A New Class of Exactly Solvable Models within the Schrödinger Equation with Position Dependent Mass

A. Dhahbi, YASSINE CHARGUI, Adel Trablesi

The study of physical systems endowed with a position-dependent mass (PDM) remains a fundamental issue of quantum mechanics. In this paper we use a new approach, recently developed by us for building the quantum kinetic energy operator (KEO) within the Schrodinger equation, in order to construct a new class of exactly solvable models with a position varying mass, presenting a harmonic-oscillator-like spectrum. To do so we utilize the formalism of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY QM) along with the shape invariance condition. Recent outcomes of non-Hermitian quantum mechanics are also taken into account.

Exploring the Foundations of Quantum Mechanics: Recent Developments and Open Questions

Arun Kumar

The foundations of quantum mechanics have been a subject of intense investigation and debate since the theory's inception. Recent developments in quantum technologies and theoretical frameworks have shed new light on foundational issues and raised intriguing questions about the nature of reality at the quantum level. recent advancements in our understanding of the foundational principles of quantum mechanics and discuss unresolved questions that continue to challenge our conceptual framework. Topics of interest include the measurement problem, quantum entanglement, the role of contextuality and nonlocality, interpretations of quantum theory, and the quest for a unified theory of quantum gravity. findings and ongoing debates in the field, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research in the foundations of quantum mechanics and stimulate further discussion and inquiry into these fundamental questions.
