The year 2011 is the centenary of the first of Solvay Conferences (Conseils Solvay, in French), that took place from October 29 to November 4, 1911. These meetings have undoubtedly been of great importance to the advancement of science, mainly Physics and Chemistry. The objective of this work is to make a brief history of the first Solvay Conference. As stated by several authors this meeting could be considered as an important milestone in quantum theory since most of the parents of this part of Physics have being there.
