Abstract

Signcryption perform both encryption and signature verification simultaneously with minimum computational time and overhead when compared to that of the traditional signature model. Certificateless Sigcryption rectifies issues corresponding to the key escrow problem and hence reducing the key management in the traditional key cryptography in Cloud environment. There has been some Certificateless Signcryption methods proposed, most of which are proved secured using the proxy pairing operations. However, with proxy pairing found to be computationally difficult in understanding and with the discrete operation reducing the advantages gained from smaller key size, data security is said to be compromised. To address this issue, in this work, a method called, Bilinear Quantum Mutual Exclusive Signcryption (BQ-MES) for data security in cloud environment is presented based on quantum principles. The new method inherits the security of bilinear mapping along with quantum, which possesses lower computation complexity than proxy operations, employed in signcrypting data in cloud environment. In the BQ-MES method, only a designated authorized cloud user recovers the data stored in the cloud via cloud service provider by verifying the validity of a signcrypted data. This is performed using Mutually Exclusive Probability model. Experimental works are conducted on the parameters such as computational time, computational overhead and data security rate. By evaluating the performance with related schemes, results show that the data stored in cloud environment is secured using BQ-MES method and computationally efficient.

Big Data Security Issues and Quantum Cryptography for Cloud Computing

Vijey Thayananthan, Aiiad Ahmad Albeshri

Enhancement of security in cloud computing is challengeable when big data such as medical and government confidential information involves in a cloud environment. The managing key for individual user participated in the mobile cloud will be the problem when big data is handled without efficient security key management.Especially, mobile cloud nodes where users handle their data can be anywhere else in the cloud environment. So, managing keys for random users and finding correct locations of users" nodes and their identities are interesting areas for the research. To solve this problem related to key management, cloud services need efficient key management that employs quantum cryptography using Grover"s algorithm. Moreover, in this research, we introduce effective authentication technique in order to improve the level of security (with minimum complexity) In this paper, theoretical model, Grover"s algorithm and quantum cryptography with the PairHand protocol are considered as methodologies. As summarized results, security levels of users and services providers are considered to verify the services used in a cloud environment. In spite of same quantum properties characterize the light, data security issues are still not matured with the light technology.Hiding the big data in the light through this research methodology will be the conclusion of the future security.

Secure and Reliable Data Transfer for Cloud Computing with Quantum Key Distribution.

S. Rajendirakumar

The increasing use of cloud computing has raised concerns about the security of sensitive data. Quantum computers pose a serious threat to the security of traditional encryption schemes, as they could be used to break these schemes in a relatively short amount of time. Quantum cryptography offers a promising solution to this problem, as it provides a secure way to exchange keys that cannot be broken by quantum computers. In this paper, we propose a novel data security scheme for cloud computing that uses quantum key distribution (QKD). The scheme uses a QKD protocol to establish a shared secret key between the cloud server and the client. This key is then used to encrypt the data before it is sent to the cloud server. The scheme also proposes a new method for verifying the integrity of the data after it has been decrypted. The proposed scheme is secure against both classical and quantum attacks. It is also efficient, as it does not require the transmission of large amounts of data. The scheme is also scalable, as it can be easily implemented in cloud computing environments.

Quantum Attack-Resistent Certificateless Multi-Receiver Signcryption Scheme

Huixian Li, Xubao Chen, Liaojun Pang +1 more

The existing certificateless signcryption schemes were designed mainly based on the traditional public key cryptography, in which the security relies on the hard problems, such as factor decomposition and discrete logarithm. However, these problems will be easily solved by the quantum computing. So the existing certificateless signcryption schemes are vulnerable to the quantum attack. Multivariate public key cryptography (MPKC), which can resist the quantum attack, is one of the alternative solutions to guarantee the security of communications in the post-quantum age. Motivated by these concerns, we proposed a new construction of the certificateless multi-receiver signcryption scheme (CLMSC) based on MPKC. The new scheme inherits the security of MPKC, which can withstand the quantum attack. Multivariate quadratic polynomial operations, which have lower computation complexity than bilinear pairing operations, are employed in signcrypting a message for a certain number of receivers in our scheme. Security analysis shows that our scheme is a secure MPKC-based scheme. We proved its security under the hardness of the Multivariate Quadratic (MQ) problem and its unforgeability under the Isomorphism of Polynomials (IP) assumption in the random oracle model. The analysis results show that our scheme also has the security properties of non-repudiation, perfect forward secrecy, perfect backward secrecy and public verifiability. Compared with the existing schemes in terms of computation complexity and ciphertext length, our scheme is more efficient, which makes it suitable for terminals with low computation capacity like smart cards.

Post-Quantum Lightweight Certificateless Hybrid Signcryption Scheme for Time-Series Data Sharing

CHENG Guanjie, SU Taolong, HUANG Junqin, KONG Linghe

The demand for continuous time-series data sharing in Internet of Things (IoT) scenarios has been increasing. Traditional Certificateless Signcryption (CLSC) schemes based on bilinear pairings or elliptic curves offer limited security under quantum computing threats and incur high computational and communication overheads when repeatedly signcrypting multiple data segments. To address these issues, this paper proposes a post-quantum lightweight certificateless hybrid signcryption scheme tailored for time-series data sharing. First, a bidirectional hash chain-driven symmetric key generation and management mechanism is designed to enable rapid key generation for multiple consecutive data segments while ensuring forward and backward security. Subsequently, a lightweight hybrid signcryption scheme with conditional privacy protection is constructed using a module lattice framework. Combined with an offline/online separation that shifts part of the computation ahead of time, the scheme achieves post-quantum security while significantly reducing the burden on end devices and communication links. The scheme is proven to satisfy IND-CCA confidentiality and EUF-CMA unforgeability in a random oracle model. Prototype implementation and evaluation on resource-constrained terminal devices show that, the proposed scheme achieves significant advantages: on average, the end-side overall latency and transmission volume can be reduced to approximately 40% of those of comparable post-quantum schemes. The advantages of this scheme become even more pronounced in long-duration continuous time-series data scenarios. It effectively balances post-quantum security, lightweight design, and scalability, making it well-suited for time-series data sharing applications in next-generation intelligent IoT.

Cloud-based analysis with quantum cryptography-based cloud security model (QC-CSM) for enhanced data security in storage and access

Amit Kumar Chandanan, Vivek Kumar Sarathe, Akhilesh Dwivedi +3 more

Data security challenges in cloud computing have grown as a fundamental issue because of rising cyber threats during this period. The proposed model QC-CSM relies on the quantum key distribution process (QKDP) and ABE to use quantum cryptography in developing a cloud security framework that enhances security measures. The model provides key distribution together with authentication and encryption security through the application of the quantum no-cloning theorem alongside quantum mechanics principles. The experimental results conducted through CloudSim and iQuantum generate data that confirms the model exhibits efficient performance across storage, encryption, and processing speed. The key generation process takes 35% less time than conventional multi-authority attribute-based encryption (MAABE) and pairing-based provable multi-copy data possession (PB-PMDP) encryption methods. Additionally, the encryption and decryption operations operate at optimized speeds. The reduction of storage overhead (SO) amounts to 20% which leads to improved memory performance. The model demonstrates effective detection abilities to identify quantum key distribution (QKD) network eavesdropping which prevents secure network breaches. The experimental data demonstrate that QC-CSM delivers both a secure platform and a scalable and efficient cloud security infrastructure. The chapter shows that quantum cryptography enables cloud system protection when it incorporates QKD components with contemporary encryption technologies.

QSKCG: Quantum‐based secure key communication and key generation scheme for outsourced data in cloud

A. Vamshi, Eswari Rajagopal

Abstract In the era of digital proliferation, individuals opt for cloud servers to store their data due to the diverse advantages they offer. However, entrusting data to cloud servers relinquishes users' control, potentially compromising data confidentiality and integrity. Traditional auditing methods designed to ensure data integrity in cloud servers typically depend on Trusted Third Party Auditors. Yet, many of these existing auditing approaches grapple with intricate certificate management and key escrow issues. Furthermore, the imminent threat of powerful quantum computers poses a risk of swiftly compromising these methods in polynomial time. To overcome these challenges, this paper introduces a Quantum‐based Secure Key Communication and Key Generation Scheme QSKCG for Outsourced Data in the Cloud. Leveraging Elliptic Curve Cryptography, the BB84 secure communication protocol, certificateless signature, and blockchain network, the proposed scheme is demonstrated through security analysis, affirming its robustness and high efficiency. Additionally, performance analysis underscores the practicality of the proposed scheme in achieving post‐quantum security in cloud storage.
