Trap environment effects over quantum statistics and atom-photon correlations in the collective atomic-recoil laser

Gilberto Aparecido Prataviera

We consider the effects of the trap environment on atomic and optical quantum statistical properties and on atom-photon correlations in the collective atomic-recoil laser. Atomic and optical statistical properties, as well as atom-photon correlations are dependent on the optical-field intensity and phase. In particular, depending on the values of the optical-field intensity and phase, the field statistics vary from coherent to superchaotic.

Quantum Mechanics as a Natural Generalization of Classical Statistical Mechanics

Qian Shang-Wu

By comparison between equations of motion of geometrical optics(GO)and that of classical statistical mechanics(CSM),we find that there should be an analogy between GO and CSM instead of GO and classical mechanics (CM).Furthermore,by comparison between the classical limit(CL)of quantum mechanics(QM)and CSM,we find that CL of QM is CSM not CM,hence we demonstrate that QM is a natural generalization of CSM instead of CM.

Statistics of photocounts of modulated radiation and coherence of field in optical waveguides

Sherzod Shukhratovich Abdullaev, Ag T Mirzaev, As T Mirzaev +1 more

A brief review is given of the statistical theory of detection of modulated optical radiation and of the theory of propagation of partly coherent waves in optical waveguides.
