Abstract

In physics and chemistry realms, the exciting quantum field would play a major role.Particularly, quantum control area should have significant and powerful development tendency. With a numerous attempts in a variety of fields, the extremely frontier area move forward to control elementary particles. Lasting effects must boost the appearing of breakthrough soonerafter. As is well known, a mount of milestone works lie on the controlling of atomic and molecules dynamics. Naturally, future researches will concentrate in quantum controlling at nucleus scale.

Quantum Numerical Control of Nuclei†#

Quan‐Fang Wang

Quantum control of elementary particle at nucleon had already been investigated for a couple of decades at the frontier area both in quantum physics and system control. At the nucleus, a kind of control for particles motion had been considered in the form of Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger equation, which is a system describing the Yukawa interaction between nucleon (e.g. proton, neutron) and meson. The aim of this paper is trying to find an external force to act at one of the particles to change the particle from its ground state to reach its exciting state.

On ultrafast microscopic quantum world

Jian Wu

Advancements in optical quantum science and technology continuously give rise to new principles and techniques, driving the development of human civilization. Throughout the century of Nobel Prize history, several recognitions have been awarded for breakthroughs in ultrafast lasers. These achievements have played crucial roles in exploring the microscopic world and developing cutting-edge innovative technologies. While inventions like the optical microscope and X-ray diffraction have significantly enhanced our ability to uncover the nature, they mainly concentrate on obtaining steady-state information. However, the microcosm is a realm of dynamic evolution, with processes such as the vibrational motion of nuclei within molecules occurring on the picosecond (10 −12 s) or femtosecond (10 −15 s) timescales, driven fundamentally by electronic motions at the attosecond (10 −18 s) timescale. Therefore, achieving measurements and control of the evolutionary processes of the microscopic world at its characteristic time and spatial scales is indispensable for understanding physical mechanisms and achieving regulation. It will not only reveal novel physical phenomena and mechanisms but also provide new ideas for the design of new materials and structures. Utilizing ultrafast laser technology with multidimensional precise controls in the time and frequency domains, we can break through the limits of time and space measurements. Here, I will highlight our research progress in the precise measurement and control of ultrafast dynamics of molecular and macro quantum states, and provide an outlook on the frontier developments in ultrafast quantum physics.

Quantum Optimal Numerical Controlling for Yukawa Interaction of Couple Heavy Particles

Quan‐Fang Wang

Beyond the controlling of molecules and atoms, quantum control step forward to a new era of achieving control at nucleus scale. This work is to attempt the investigation of quantum controlling with the interaction between two heavy particles (e.g. nucleon and meson). The interaction, which expressed as coupled Schrodinger and Klein-Gordon equations, will be the target of controlling. Experiment demonstration illustrate that theoretical study combining with computational control is effected to performance.

Towards a New Quantum Horizon

Tristan Hübsch, Djordje Minić

2025 is the year of Quantum Science and Technology. It celebrates 100 years since the invention of quantum theory (as previously mentioned, in 1925 Heisenberg published what is considered the first paper on quantum mechanics). How is quantum theory doing on her 100th birthday? It is thriving! Its successes continue in quantum chemistry, condensed matter, molecular, optical, nuclear and particle physics, and new areas of quantum information and quantum computation that utilize non-classical information theoretic properties of quantum systems have burst upon the scene, and many researchers are involved in the new area of quantum biology. The achievements of quantum theory are phenomenal, and there does not exist a single experiment that contradicts its basic tenets. As illustrated by the magic cube of physics, the structure of the fundamental framework of physics is completely dominated by quantum theory, which is intrinsically probabilistic and contextual, and by spacetime physics, which is not intrinsically probabilistic and it is not contextual. In the area of overlaps between quantum and spacetime physics, we find local quantum field theory, where spacetime appears as a glorified index of quantum fields—and yet is important in defining what we mean by locality, causality, etc. Nevertheless, local quantum field theory, especially in the form of effective field theory has scored (and continues to score) impressive successes in particle, nuclear and condensed matter and statistical physics, as well as in the realms of quantum field theory in curved but not dynamical backgrounds, including weakly gravitational fields and cosmology.
