Quantum biology in health sciences

Gilberto Bastidas *, Daniel Bastidas

Biological processes such as photosynthesis, enzymaticcatalysis, smell, and vision, which cannot be explained by the laws of classical physics, can be addressed by quantum physics, specifically biological physics, and thus be transferred to phenomena described in the health sciences. This will undoubtedly revolutionize the understanding of human life. For example, within the framework of quantum biology, consciousness and the soul are believed to be contained in microtubules, structures within brain cells. The understanding and subsequent prediction of chemical reactions responsible for the signs and symptoms of disease, and for health (homeostasis), are addressed by quantum science, which allows us to redescribe the properties of DNA and proteins. This essay presents reflections on the fundamental processes that occur in humans from a quantum perspective, a possible dialogue despite the limited number of quantum theories and the pretension of considering the complex phenomena that characterize the health sciences as classical and reductionist.

The Emotional Engineer 1-2, 3-6-9, 3-3-3: Extended Theoretical Framework Frequency, Architecture, and the Three Spheres: A Recalibration of Quantum Mechanics Through Biological Engagement and Physical Substrate

Brian Burgess

This project contains the three-sphere architectural extension of the Emotional Engineer 1-2, 3-6-9, 3-3-3 — the sixth paper in a nine-paper series. Papers 1 through 5 established the cycle from biological foundation through quantum field interaction. This paper develops the architectural account within which that sequence operates. The framework proposes that the phenomena physics measures, the phenomena biology documents, and the phenomena consciousness research describes are not separate domains requiring independent theoretical accounts, but observations of a unified three-sphere architecture operating at every scale where biological systems engage quantum capability through physical substrate. The three spheres — quantum, biological, and physical — form an integrated architecture in which desire operates as frequency, duality operates as continuous choice between poles, coherence builds through repetition, and resonance produces measurable quantum field interaction. The double-slit experiment, the most replicated demonstration in modern physics, is examined as the empirical bridge documenting biological observation producing measurable quantum response. The persistent unsolved problems of physics (the measurement problem, the hard problem of consciousness, dark matter and dark energy, and quantum non-locality) are proposed to share a common origin in the dimensional incompleteness of representations through which physics has been working. The framework's contribution at this stage is recognition rather than reformulation: identifying the three-sphere architecture within which physics, biology, and consciousness research have been describing the same unified phenomenon from different functional emphases. The architecture is demonstrated at the cellular scale, at the human scale through the trifecta of mind, heart, and gut, and through cardiac coherence as empirical verification. Each stage of the framework is offered with explicit falsifiability criteria. The framework remains a proposition. The convergent evidence across independent fields and scales is the argument. The series continues in Projects 7, 8, and 9.
