Abstract

Quantum control of neutrons in nuclear reaction in considered in this work. Neutrons fission from uranium 235U of chain reaction is interested to be controlled as target theoretically. Control theory is applied to interacted many-body neutrons collision in the framework of variational method. Full proof is provided for quantum optimal control of scattered poly-neutrons.

Theoretical Quantum Control for Interaction of Particles

Quan‐Fang Wang

In this work, initial present theoretical quantum control of poly-particles in the Yukawa interactions. In the framework of variational method, optimal control theory for interacted particles is considered in Hilbert spaces. Full proof of the existence of quantum optimal control is supplied in general manner. At last, quantum optimality (Euler-Lagrange) system is deduced.

Quantum Optimal Control for Particles at Cross-Section in Nucleus

Quan‐Fang Wang

In this work, a novel concept abstract surface (cross-section at nucleus) is proposed firstly. Quantum optimal control is interested in taking particles at Yukawa interaction of cross-section σ in the nucleus as target for controlling by external force. In the nucleus, as intersecting surface full of particles can be considered for applying control theory and numerical simulation using a stable semi-discrete algorithm. Theoretical investigation, computational approach and experimental demonstration had accomplished.

Quantum optimal control theory

Jan Werschnik, Eberhard K. U. Gross

The control of quantum dynamics via specially tailored laser pulses is a long-standing goal in physics and chemistry. Partly, this dream has come true, as sophisticated pulse-shaping experiments allow us to coherently control product ratios of chemical reactions. The theoretical design of the laser pulse to transfer an initial state to a given final state can be achieved with the help of quantum optimal control theory (QOCT). This tutorial provides an introduction to QOCT. It shows how the control equations defining such an optimal pulse follow from the variation of a properly defined functional. We explain the most successful schemes to solve these control equations and show how to incorporate additional constraints in the pulse design. The algorithms are then applied to simple quantum systems and the obtained pulses are analysed. Besides the traditional final-time control methods, the tutorial also presents an algorithm and an example to handle time-dependent control targets.

Quantum Optimal Control for Bose-Einstein-Condensates at Complex Space

Quan‐Fang Wang

Quantum control of Bose-Einstein-Condensates is interesting topic in the areas of control and physics. In this work, Gross-Pitaevskii equation expressed Bose-Einstein-Condensates is considered as control target. Full theoretical proof for the existence of quantum optimal control is provided for cubical Schrodinger equation in complex Hilbert spaces.
