Abstract

Cryptography NetworkSecurity was a conception to secure the datatransmission and the network of the wireless networks. For the datatransmission the major feature isdata Security on independent network. In a network authorization of access of thedata was maintained by the NetworkSecurity, here the network administrator controls the entire process. The users will login by the ID, Password and some other authenticating information to access in to the network to perform their authentication. The NetworkSecurity protects different kinds of both private and public networks, computer networks and daily transactions in the business and in the communications and in government and other sectors. Public access and private access are the different varieties of Networks in the system. In this paper the cryptography NetworkSecurity by Ciphers are defined. In this cryptography algorithm is used.

Network Security and Methods of Encoding and Decoding

Sharmeen Kaur, Raveena Singh, Shivya Gagneja

Network Security is the most vital component in data protection because it is responsible for protecting all information passed through computers containing network. Network Security refers to all hardware and software functions, characteristics, features, accountability, measures, access control, and administrative and management policy required to provide an acceptable level of protection for Hardware and Software, and information in a network. Here we are focusing on the technique of Quantum Cryptography which uses the law of quantum physics for unconditionally secure data communications. This is an improvement because the cryptography currently in use, known as conventional cryptography, is dependent entirely on the difficulty level of a mathematical equation. To write this paper we have studied about Network Security and methods of encoding and decoding in detail. Hereby we are presenting our work on the enhancement of cryptography using various encoding and decoding approaches. The proposed algorithm has a better speed compared with other encoding algorithm. Nevertheless, the proposed algorithm improves encoding security by inserting the symmetric layer. The proposed algorithm will be useful to the applications which require the same procedure of encoding and decoding. This paper makes a comparison between classical cryptography and quantum cryptography and outlines the increased security level provided by quantum cryptography.

A Review on Quantum Cryptography Technology

Piya Techateerawat

Nowadays, the information is exchanged among the computer network. These data and information are involved in business, military, academic education, research and etc. which are shared around the world in both private and public network. Since, many categories of data are required restriction on authorization of access, modify, delete and insert, security in communication is increasingly important to the network communication. Currently, computer security applies mathematic theory to computer security for encrypting and decrypting on both sender and receiver. To use security attack with high performance computer (e.g. quantum computer), attacker can find a key and then obtains the data in feasible period. Quantum cryptography is one of the solutions that use property of polarization to ensure that transmitted data is not trapped by eavesdropper. Quantum cryptography is improved significantly in the last decades including the most two dominant protocol BB84 and BB92.

Quantum Cryptography: Advancements and Applications in Securing Networking Systems

Mohan Garg, Kambam Vedantan, I. Rexiline Sheeba +3 more

Quantum cryptography is an advanced technology that applies the principles of quantum mechanics to provide secure communication networks. Quantum crypto differs from other forms of cryptographic security that rely on mathematical theory because this allows quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle and entanglement to enhance secure communication. Quantum cryptography has made significant progress recently and can effectively be used for networking system protection. Such advancement is the quantum key distribution protocol, where two parties generate the secret key to secure communication completely unshakable by any third party. One more advancement is the use of quantum teleportation, which allows transferring information between distant quantum systems without physically moving there. These developments have provided abundant opportunities for applications of quantum cryptography to secure networking systems. It helps maintain the secure transmission of sensitive information online or protects financial transactions and government and military communications. Quantum cryptography can also be used for secure authentication and access control, useful in cross-industry applications. Quantum cryptography is the best technology for implementing secure networking systems; thanks to its crypt-like harmony, it can be integrated into the most insecure networks with very rare error rates.

A primer on cryptography in communications

Stamatios V. Kartalopoulos

The secure transport of messages was the concern of many early civilizations. Since then, different methods have been developed to assure that only the sender and the addressee would be able to read a message, while it would be illegible or without significant meaning to a third party. Today, this practice continues with more fervor. Wireless, wired, and optical communication networks are able to transport unimaginable amounts of data and thus privacy of information and security of the network are of the utmost concern because a good part of the transported information may be very sensitive and/or confidential. Confidentiality of information has been particularly popularized with the explosive growth of the Internet, which has touched most people's lives. However, from the outset, the Internet was based on open network architecture with computer-based nodes and without network security, and thus was vulnerable to attackers and hackers. Wireless networks transmit in unguarded space and thus are also subject to malicious actors. Dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) optical networks transport a massive aggregate traffic that has exceeded terabits per second per single fiber; therefore, the issues of information privacy and network security are equally important. As a result, the development of unbreakable cipher keys, cipher-key distribution, identification of malicious actors, source authentication, physical-link signature identification, countermeasures, and so forth has been the major thrust of research efforts with regard to cyber-security. This article focuses on cryptography, and is the first of a series of three articles on cryptography and security in communications. Subsequent articles will cover wireless and IP network security, as well as optical network security, quantum cryptography, and quantum-key distribution processes specific to optical networks.

Cryptographic Algorithms for Next Generation Wireless Networks Security

Vishnu Suryavanshi, G. C. Manna

At present a majority of computer and telecommunication systems requires data security when data is transmitted the over next generation network. Data that is transient over an unsecured Next Generation wireless network is always susceptible to being intercepted by anyone within the range of the wireless signal. Hence providing secure communication to keep the user's information and devices safe when connected wirelessly has become one of the major concerns. Quantum cryptography algorithm provides a solution towards absolute communication security over the next generation network by encoding information as polarized photons, which can be sent through the air security issues and services using cryptographic algorithm explained in this chapter.
