The Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics (I)

Shan, Gao

Aiming at providing an objective motion picture for the microscopic object described by the wave function, new analysis about motion is presented by use of the point set theory in mathematics, through which we show that a new kind of motion named quantum discontinuous motion is the general motion mode of the particle, while classical continuous motion is just one kind of extremely peculiar motion, and the wave function in quantum mechanics proves to be the very mathematical complex describing the particle undergoing the quantum discontinuous motion. Furthermore, Schroedinger equation of the wave function is shown to be the simplest nonrelativistic evolution equation for the particle undergoing the new motion, and the consistent axiom system of quantum mechanics is also deduced out. At last, we demonstrate that present quantum measurement theories just confirm the existence of the new motion of the microscopic particle described by the wave function, and the weird displays of the wave function in microscopic world are also physically explained in terms of the new motion.

A New Physical Description of Planetary Motion-Spinvector Motion I

Zhonglin BO

A new planetary motion theory, spin-vector motion is developed, based on Kepler's second laws of planetary motion that a line segment joining a planet and the Sun sweeps out equal areas during equal intervals of time. The planetary motion follows the same Schrodinger wave equation as quantum particles. The planets have same particle-wave duality, wave length and momentum relation, energy and wave frequency relation as quantum particles too. Based on our deduction we conclude that the Schrodinger equation can be applied successfully to photons, quantum particles, and celestial bodies, but with different energy constant for celestial bodies. Even though these objects are with different masses, sizes and with different wave speeds. And we predict that the wave speed exceeding light speed will not have any impacts on the wave equation form. This spin-vector in motion theory or Spin-vector Mechanics will be a candidate theory leading to the theory of everything.

Exotic Zitterbewegung-like motion of wave packets near exceptional points

Weimin Ye, Jianlong Liu, Yang Gao +1 more

Nonorthogonality of eigenstates is a fundamental characteristic of non-Hermitian systems. It is expected that nonorthogonality-induced effects could be enhanced in the vicinity of the exceptional points (EPs) where the multiple eigenstates coalesce into one. Here, focusing on the wave-packet motions in non-Hermitian systems, we find that a wave packet near the EPs could exhibit new types of Zitterbewegung- (ZB-) like motion arising from the nonorthogonality of eigenstates. The observed ZB-like motion of a wave packet centered around a single eigenstate contradicts the notion that ZB motion only occurs for a wave packet centered around a superposed state. We further show the existence of a ZB-like motion in the form of an interesting helical trajectory of the wave packet on the incident plane, stemming from the imaginary part of group velocities. These exotic ZB-like motions may provide great insight into nonorthogonal eigenstates and complex eigenfrequencies of non-Hermitian systems.
