QUANTUM JOURNALISM: PROLEGOMEN OF MEASUREMENT (identification of criteria for the formation of representation about the unit of analysis and the unit of measurement)

Abstract

The article aimed to search for and identify the criteria for forming an idea of the unit of analysis and the unit of measurement in quantum journalism (Kyushu). The research methodology involved the use of methods of three groups: general philosophical (the method of quantum monism; the ideas of realism; the concept of Unity); scientific-practical methods –observation, description and measurement; scientific theoretical methods –formalization, axiomatization, analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction, generalization, analogy, and abstraction.Results. Since today in the philosophical fields (metaphysics, nonclassical physics (quantum), and classical physics) there are no units of analysis and measurement of synergetic processes and phenomena in quantum journalism (quantum communication), further within holism and the author's concept of Unity it is proposed to create a new "1 hall", or "one holism". The range of analysis and measurement that form the unit "1 hall" should be considered the manifestations of the impact on the environment of a portion of energy (quantum) in the form of intensity and strength of changes that such energy (quantum) causes information flow.Conclusions. According to the results of the analytical review of existing ideas on measurement, it is appropriate to state ambivalent tendencies to identify the criteria for forming an idea of the unit of analysis and the unit of measurement in quantum journalism (more broadly -in the theory of quantum communication). On the one hand, measurement in quantum journalism is inexpedient. On the other hand, such a measurement is possible. From the standpoint of materialism, measurement in quantum journalism is possible thanks to digital indicators. From the point of view of metaphysics, measurement is possible taking into account the synergetic unity as a result of the combination of synergetic-convergent and cross-transmedia characteristics of information processes due to the unit "hall" (holism).Key words: quantum journalism, kyuzhur, measurement, unit of analysis, unit of measurement, identification of criteria.

Физика и философия: старые проблемы и новые решения

Andrey Yu. Sevalnikov

The present study is concerned with the problem of realism in quantum mechanics. Contrary to the prevailing view that quantum mechanics forces us to abandon the concept of realism and reality, the author attempts to substantiate another standpoint. Quantum objects indeed exist in a different way from classical bodies. Before the act of measurement begins, one cannot attribute any specific properties to the quantum object observed, as they only occur in the course observation. The concept of observation, however, should not be interpreted as the inclusion of subjective traits in the description of nature. Observation records processes in space and time and establishes the fact of transition from the potential to the reality. The potential is described by a wave function, which in its meaning does not fall in the habitual space and time, whereas the actual is described in terms of a reduction of the wave function, i.e. the transition from a range of possible states to the single one, the observed. Whatever has been observed, in contrast, already belongs to ordinary space and time and can be detected. What follows is that, in quantum mechanics, it is the notion of reality which needs to be reconsidered, not the realism as such rejected. A reconsideration of this sort is conducted here within the framework of a double-modus picture of reality including both potential and actual being, where the quantum level of existence is distinguished from the observed modi of being as described by means of classical concepts. Such a scheme can be described in terms of Aristotelian metaphysics (the fact first pointed out by Heisenberg). The act of transition from potential to actual can be accounted for both in the language of Aristotle’s metaphysics and the language of modern science. In traditional metaphysics it is called the 'principle of individuation', while in modern science it is known as the extended Mach principle. It is argued that the development of these ideas leads to the rejection of Cartesian paradigm in which the existence of a material object always means an existence in space and time.

The Problems of Psycholinguistic Research Methodology and Quantum Approach

Олександр Холод

In the article, the author analyzes the problem of lack of knowledge about what could be the research methods in psycholinguistics from the standpoint of quantum theories. The purpose of the study is to establish the possibility of combining the theoretical potential of modern psycholinguistics and the proven tenets of quantum theories and the formulation of the tasks of the intended combination. Both the dialectic and the metaphysical methods have become the research methodology. From among the general scientific the author chose methods of analysis and synthesis, classification. The research methodology included the following main procedures: identification of criteria by which it is possible to further classify existing methods related to the study of human nature, self-actualization of its internal resources to improve their own health, luck and safety; defining the tasks of the psycholinguistic research methodology within the framework of the quantum theories and areas of knowledge methodology; determination of the probabilistic correlation of psycholinguistic research methods and the potential of the methods of the quantum approach to the study of human nature and the construction of a table based on the mentioned correlation; identification of the tasks of the psycholinguistic research methodology, taking into account the potential of the methods associated with the study of quantum processes, paradoxes and effects; presentation of recommendations and tasks of psycholinguistics in the application of quantum-method methods. In the conclusions of his study, the author found that the methods of psycholinguistics are based on a materialistic basis and cannot be adequate and relevant for quantum psychology, the methods of which are close to non-materialistic. That is why, according to the author, the methodology of quantum psychology should be adopted, declaring that the human brain is not a place of generation of his consciousness, but only an instrument of perception and interpretation of the products of consciousness.

Three Approaches to the Issue of Quantum Reality and the Second Quantum Revolution

Vladislav Terekhovich

The framework of a simple opposition realism – anti-realism is not enough to analyze the views on the reality of unobservable objects of quantum theory. First, it is necessary to distinguish between realism in relation to the theory and realism in relation to the theory’s objects. Secondly, realism in relation to classical objects can be combined, both with realism and with anti-realism in relation to quantum objects. Third, the concept of “existence” and “to exist objectively” can have different meanings. To take into account these factors, the article describes three approaches: classical realism, quantum anti-realism, and quantum realism. I show that the debate around quantum reality has intensified in recent decades due to a series of new quantum experiments. The current stage of the debate is caused by the second quantum revolution relating to the transfer and processing of quantum information. Classical realism and old versions of quantum anti-realism have become insufficiently effective to explain the results of a series of experiments. Proponents of quantum realism, in turn, refer to the possibility of using the wave function to manipulate quantum objects before their measurement. In conclusion, I assume that not only theoretical discussions but also experiments and new technologies can have a major impact on the seemingly purely philosophical debate about reality.

Ontological Foundations of Cognition in Quantum Physics

Клёцкин Михаил Васильевич

The aim of the article is to analyze the ontological foundations of quantum mechanics and the relationship of various interpretations of quantum mechanics with the question of truth in scientific knowledge. The theoretical material (various interpretations of quantum mechanics) was analyzed. The research methods were analysis, comparative-historical and institutional approaches. On the basis of the study, it can be concluded that physicists are only able to predict the probabilities of physical phenomena or processes, without any knowledge of the structure of entity in itself. The study helps to complement the theoretical picture of the ontology of quantum mechanics and to get an idea about the development prospects of the methodology of physical sciences. We should not ascribe properties that are unobservable in experience to the entity because science can truly interpret only the representation of entity in itself in experience and the ways of dealing with it, not future events or possible states of the entity. Otherwise, science “slides” down to the level of dialectical (rhetorical) exercises based not on true premises, but on generally accepted or “authoritative” biases, which gives room to extreme forms of relativism and takes natural scientists away from studying nature to inventing empirically unsupported hypotheses. When, in accordance with the Cartesian ontology, the scientist assumes that the entity is as the “subject” observes it (that is, the “reflection” of the entity in consciousness is identified with entity in itself), this assumption leads the scientist to attempts to “scientifically” describe the future events or the possible states of the entity. The criterion for the truth of a scientific theory put forward by Einstein in his dispute with Bohr remains a fundamentally unattainable ideal. Cognition of nature is probabilistically and fundamentally incomplete since a person can consciously comprehend natural phenomena only within the framework of their representation in the existing being. The probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics is due to the impossibility of knowing things as they exist by themselves, that is, as they exist outside of representation in the mind of the observer. This does not mean that physical entities did not exist before their knowledge: they existed potentially, but were not valid for the observer, that is, conscious. Quantum physics is as incomplete as any other physical theory when compared with an unattainable ideal, but this fact does not negate its truth for modern scientists since quantum theory is based on the results of verified experiments.

The problem of connection of observer’s mind with quantum-mechanical description of physical reality

Ревунов Сергей Евгеньевич, С. В. Кузнецов, O. A. Barkhatova +1 more

Introduction: the study considers the problem of observer’s status during specific quantum-mechanical experiments, in which the empirical result directly depends on the participation of the experimenter's mind. Here the problem arises of the connection between the mind of the observer and the quantum-mechanical description of physical reality. The paper pays attention to modern trends in physics and philosophy devoted to the study of this phenomenon. Some aspects of the philosophical interpretation of the mind as a quantum mechanism are presented. Materials and Methods: the research materials demonstrate an overview of several common quantum-philosophical theories. Attempts have been made to search for the connection of quantum phenomena with the mechanisms of the functioning of human mind. The experimental background of quantum physics is demonstrated, providing material for analyzing the possibility of applying modern quantum theory to the question of identifying the relationship of the quantum approach and describing the problem of the influence of the observer’s mind on the result of a physical experiment. Results: the concept of quantum mechanics, taking into account the latest achievements and results of physics, philosophy and psychology, allows us to consider the mind of the observer as an integral part of the mechanism responsible for the formation of the surrounding physical reality. The anthropic principle of participation considered in the work gives the observer's mind a special role allowing to form a quantum-mechanical description of physical reality. Discussion and conclusions: it is shown that the mind of the observer plays an important role in quantum theory. Moreover, mind as a psychic phenomenon may be in fact identical with the quantum-mechanical concept of choosing an alternative. Given the fact that the brain's thought processes influence the measurement results, it can be assumed that mind changes quantum probabilities. This assumption allows us to take a different look at the concept of reality itself.

Metaphysical unity of transcendental psychology and quantum mechanics. Part 1

Нагдян Рубен Михайлович

Since the beginning of the XXI st century, there has been a process of intense convergence and interpenetration of two seemingly opposing sciences – quantum mechanics and psychology. In accordance with it, the question arises about a common methodological foundation for these sciences. The article shows that the “first philosophy” of Aristotle can serve as a general philosophical methodology for these sciences. In the context of the metaphysical triad necessarypossible-real, the “intersection points” of A. I. Mirakyan’s transcendental psychology and A. Yu. Sevalnikov’s interpretation of quantum mechanics. The article examines the features of the formation of a new direction in modern psychology, which studies the problem of mental phenomena generation. At the same time, a comparison is made with the transcendentalism of Descartes, in which its limitations and incompleteness are revealed. It is shown that both in transcendental psychology and in quantum mechanics (W. Heisenberg) epistemological problems arise associated with the impossibility of using the language of their classical predecessors. In both sciences, it becomes necessary to apply a new language, a new way of thinking and a new logic of understanding the phenomena under study. All this allows us to conclude that both in transcendental psychology and in quantum mechanics, researchers are dealing with a new ontology of reality that differs from the reality studied in classical physics and in the phenomenology of classical psychology. The article substantiates that the main methodological reason limiting the possibilities of carrying out theoretical studies of deeper layers of reality is the use of the product (physical) approach. The product approach is based on the language used to describe the observed reality. It became necessary to divide reality into observable and unobservable. In the language of metaphysics of modalities, this is translated as «being in possibility» and «being in reality.» One of the “intersection points” of quantum mechanics and transcendental psychology is the category ofpossibility, in which the essence of reality is expressed, which both disciplines compared in this article seek to describe and explain
