Abstract

Quantum computing is different from classical computing. It is based on quantum mechanics principles, utilizing the attributes such as entanglement and superposition. The significant difference between a quantum computer and a classical computer is the ability to process information astonishingly faster. This is possible due to the quantum entanglement concept. Interests in the quantum entanglement concept have been exponentially growing over the years. In the last decade, significant progress in implementations of quantum computation in quantum information has been achieved. This study selected secondary resource indexed literature from several databases with specific keywords in almost a century. In this paper, quantum computing and its application is presented along with the essence of quantum entanglement role in quantum computing. This study will provide a general understanding of quantum computing and its application and quantum entanglement.

An overview on quantum computing for technology

Vijay Kumar, S. Gupta, Fateh Singh Gill

Quantum computing is a potential technological revolution that will transform the entire field of information processing. However, quantum computing like classical bits in classical computers is operated using quantum bits principle physics based on quantum mechanics. Quantum computing explores many solution spaces simultaneously because of a fundamental difference from the classical computation paradigms, leading to the possibility of exponential speed-up on some computational plant tasks. This paper discusses quantum computing with essential concepts like quantum superposition, entanglement, and applications such as cryptography, optimization, and drug discovery and machine learning. Quantum computing will enable numerous groundbreaking discoveries that were previously unattainable and will bequeath a lasting legacy in the digital innovation era. Quantum computing is an information processing technique that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to conduct calculations far faster circumvented by traditional digital computers. Digital computers utilize bits, which may take one of two forms: 0 or 1. This superposition of quantum superposition and entanglement yielded qubits unique qualities that can’t be expected in classical systems. Indeed, superposition enables qubits to take numerous forms simultaneously, while entanglement enables qubits to be connected such their properties are connected. In cryptography, quantum computers can decrypt existing cryptographic keys or develop new, more secure quantum encryption using qubits. Quantum computers can dramatically accelerate materials science and drug design by allowing scientists to simulate how molecules interact more accurately. In conclusion, quantum computing represents a unique information processing change and has a future impact on science, technology, and society.

Quantum Computing

Abstract: Quantum computing is a new type of computing that uses the principles of quantum physics to perform calculations in ways that are not possible with traditional computers. Unlike classical computers, which process information using bits that are either 0 or 1, quantum computers use quantum bits (qubits) that can exist in multiple states at the same time. This ability allows quantum systems to solve certain complex problems much faster than classical machines. This paper presents a simple and human-centered explanation of quantum computing, focusing on how it works, why it matters, and how it can be applied in real-world situations. The study discusses key concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates using easy-to-understand language. It also explores practical applications including cryptography, optimization, drug discovery, and material simulation. In addition, this paper examines the current challenges in quantum computing, such as hardware instability, error correction, limited qubit scalability, and high implementation cost. A conceptual hybrid classical–quantum system model is proposed to show how quantum and classical computers can work together to solve complex problems more efficiently. The goal of this research is to make quantum computing more understandable to students, educators, and decision-makers, and to encourage early awareness and responsible development of this powerful technology. Exploring Quantum Computing: Principles and Applications

SIDAK BAWA

The discipline of quantum computing, a cutting-edge area at the nexus of computer science and quantum physics, has the potential to revolutionize computation. Quantum computers employ quantum bits, also known as qubits, as opposed to classical computers, which use bits as the lowest unit of information. Utilizing the core concepts of quantum mechanics—superposition and entanglement—these qubits are able to conduct calculations that are not possible for conventional computers. To fully appreciate the possibilities and difficulties of quantum computing, one must comprehend these ideas. Superposition is a fundamental idea in quantum computing. A bit in classical computing can be in one of two states: either 0 or 1. A qubit, on the other hand, is capable of being in both states simultaneously in superposition. The computing capacity of quantum systems is increased exponentially by this capability. For example, a quantum computer offers huge processing parallelism since it can process several possibilities at once, but a classical computer can only process one possible answer at a time. Quantum computing also relies on entanglement. When qubits entangle, their states are directly correlated with one another, independent of their distance from one another. Quantum computers can now do intricate computations at previously unheard-of rates because to this phenomena. Quantum computers can factor enormous numbers, optimize intricate systems, and simulate chemical structures for drug development thanks to entanglement and superposition, which are currently impossible for conventional computers.

It is a beautiful combination of physics, mathematics, computer science and information theory. It provides high computational power, less energy consumption and exponential speed over classical computers by controlling the behavior of small physical objects i.e. microscopic particles like atoms, electrons, photons, etc. Here, we present an introduction to the fundamental concepts and some ideas of quantum computing. This paper starts with the origin of traditional computing and discusses all the improvements and transformations that have been done due to their limitations until now. Then it moves on to the basic working of quantum computing and the quantum properties it follows like superposition, entanglement and interference. To understand the full potentials and challenges of a practical quantum computer that can be launched commercially, the paper covers the architecture, hardware, software, design, types and algorithms that are specifically required by the quantum computers. It uncovers the capability of quantum computers that can impact our lives in various viewpoints like cyber security, traffic optimization, medicines, artificial intelligence and many more. At last, we concluded all the importance, advantages and disadvantages of quantum computers. Small-scale quantum computers are being developed recently. This development is heading towards a great future due to their high potential capabilities and advancements in ongoing research. Before focusing on the significances of a general-purpose quantum computer and exploring the power of the new arising technology, it is better to review the origin, potentials, and limitations of the existing traditional computing. This information helps us in understanding the possible challenges in developing exotic and competitive technology. It will also give us an insight into the ongoing progress in this field.
