Biodegradable optical sensors with quantumassisted signal processing for sustainable and highprecision sensing

Ashu Nayak, Ankita Tiwari

Integrated quantum-assisted sensors and biodegradable optical sensors are an amazing and pioneering approach to sustainable, high-precision sensing applications for environmental monitoring, biomedical diagnostics, food safety, etc. The novel biodegradable optical sensor system comprised of eco-friendly photonic materials of silk-based optical fibers and nanocellulose waveguides degrades naturally after the operational lifespan. The sensor employs quantum-enhanced noise reduction, quantum machine learning algorithms, and quantum key distribution (QKD) for secure and high-fidelity data transmission. This enables ultra sensitive environmental pollutant, biolmolecular marker, and food contaminant detection with low electronic waste and power consumption through the integration of energy harvesting mechanisms. Comparisons of performance analysis show that the signal accuracy is superior, the sensitivity is enhanced, and real-time data processing is improved over existing optical sensors. Experimental validation of the sensor illustrates effective detection of minute chemical and biological changes with negligible interference, which allows this sensor to serve as an excellent choice for transient and disposable monitoring. By using quantum computing, this research moves biodegradable sensing technology forward to improve performance, security, and efficiency. Constructing a miniaturized quantum processor that works properly then needs to be optimized for material properties as well as integrated with the miniaturized processor, and finally, the miniaturized processor will need to be scaled for large-scale deployment. By introducing this novel solution, eco-friendly, intelligent, and self-sustainable sensor technology for a wide variety of applications is ushered in.
