Abstract

To make the communication channel more resistant to noise, and to make the transmission of messages in the channel both safe and efficient, this paper proposes a quantum secure direct communication protocol using quantum fingerprint and quantum teleportation in a decoherence-free subspace. Firstly, the quantum fingerprint is applied to the identity authentication of the protocol, so that the two qubits are smoothly transmitted from the sender to the receiver through the quantum channel. Then, the order of the measured messages is restored. Finally, security analysis and comparison with other protocols are carried out. The analysis result shows that the proposed protocol can transmit messages safely and efficiently, and its channel capacity is also high.

Quantum secure direct communication scheme based on d- dimensional Bell entangled state

Pengfei Weng, Hong Chen, Xiaoxia Cai +2 more

In order to improve the communication efficiency and security of Quantum Secure Direct Communication, a new Quantum Secure Direct Communication scheme based on d-dimension Bell entangled state is proposed. In the scheme, the receiver and the sender transport the d-dimensional Bell particles as secure test particles to ensure the security of communication. The receiver can calculate the security of the channel according to the measurement of d-dimensional Bell state particles, which is based on the entanglement properties of the d-dimensional Bell state. Secret information is transmitted through the other d-dimensional Bell state particles by dense coding technique. Then, the receiver can determine the security of the channel by comparing the measurements of the particles and makes a joint measurement of the transmitted particles to obtain secret information. Finally, the entropy theory is used to analyze the security of the protocol. Under the four dimensional Bell state, the transmission efficiency of the protocol is 90.90% and the efficiency of the quantum bit is 45.45%. The results show that the proposed scheme is safe and reliable and has high transmission efficiency.

Quantum High Secure Direct Communication with Authentication

Liliana Zisu

A quantum high secure direct communication with authentication protocol is proposed by using single photons. The high security of the protocol is achieved on levels. The first level involves the verification of the quantum channel security by using fake photons. The authentication process is also ensured by the fake photons. The second level of security is given by the use of multiple polarization bases. The secret message is encoded in groups of photons; each single character of the message is associated with m (m≥7) photons. Thus, at least 27(128) characters will be encoded. In order to defeat the quantum teleportation attack, the string of bits associated to the secret message is encrypted with a secret string of bits by using XOR operator. Encryption of the sender's identity string and the receiver's identity string by the XOR operator with a random string of fake photons defends quantum man-in-the-middle attack efficiently. Quantum memory is required to implement our protocol. Storage of quantum information is a key element in quantum information processing and provides a more flexible, effective and efficient communication. Our protocol is feasible with current technologies.

Quantum secure direct communication based on quantum error correction code

Chao-Wei Ding, Wenyang Wang, Wen-Da Zhang +2 more

Quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) enables the message sender to directly transmit messages to the message receiver through quantum channel without keys. Environmental noise is the main obstacle for QSDC's practicality. For enhancing QSDC's noise robustness, we introduce the quantum error correction (QEC) code into QSDC and propose the QSDC protocol based on the redundancy code. This QSDC protocol correlates atomic state with the electron–photon entangled pairs and transmits photons in quantum channels for two rounds. The parties can construct the remote atomic logical entanglement channel and decode messages with the heralded photonic Bell state measurement (BSM) and single electron measurement. This QSDC protocol is unconditionally secure in theory and has some advantages. First, benefiting from the heralded photonic BSM, it can eliminate the influence from photon transmission loss and has the potential to realize long-distance secure message transmission. Second, taking use of the error correction function of the repetition code, the error rate caused by the decoherence during the second round of photon transmission can be reduced, which can reduce the message error and increase the secret message capacity. Third, the whole protocol is feasible under current experimental condition. Our QSDC protocol can be extended to use other stronger QEC code. It provides a promising method to promote QSDC's practicality in the future.

Quantum Secure Direct Communication Protocol with Mutual Authentication Based on Single Photons and Bell States

Lili Yan, Shibin Zhang, Yan Zuo Chang +2 more

Quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) can transmit secret messages directly from one user to another without first establishing a shared secret key, which is different from quantum key distribution. In this paper, we propose a novel quantum secure direct communication protocol based on signal photons and Bell states. Before the execution of the proposed protocol, two participants Alice and Bob exchange their corresponding identity IDA and IDB through quantum key distribution and keep them secret, respectively. Then the message sender, Alice, encodes each secret message bit into two single photons (| 01〉or|10〉) or a Bell state , and composes an ordered secret message sequence. To insure the security of communication, Alice also prepares the decoy photons and inserts them into secret message sequence on the basis of the values of IDA and IDB. By the secret identity IDA and IDB, both sides of the communication can check eavesdropping and identify each other. The proposed protocol not only completes secure direct communication, but also realizes the mutual authentication. The security analysis of the proposed protocol is presented in the paper. The analysis results show that this protocol is secure against some common attacks, and no secret message leaks even if the messages are broken. Compared with the two-way QSDC protocols, the presented protocol is a one-way quantum communication protocol which has the immunity to Trojan horse attack. Furthermore, our proposed protocol can be realized without quantum memory.

A new three-party quantum secure direct communication protocol with authentication is proposed. The advantage of the scheme is that through authentication one can confirm the sender's legitimate identity, partially entangled states used as information carrier are easy to prepare and store, there is no need to transmit quantum states with secret message in quantum channel and two users can simultaneously communicate with the third party. In ideal channel, the protocol is secure against incoherent attack.
