EXCITATIONS IN CONFINED FERMI FLUIDS

E. Susana Hernández

Studies of excitation spectra of Fermi fluids in the presence of various types of spatial symmetry breaking are reviewed. In particular, I discuss the predicted spectra of films of3He adsorbed on planar substrates and of dilute40K gases in magnetic traps. Finally, I anticipate some dynamical aspects of3He gases in onedimensional and quasi-onedimensional adsorbed phases in porous media.
