Heisenberg argued that wave and particle are too exclusively different in properties, making the intrinsic wave-quantum unity of light impossible to visualize and describe by the language. He invented mathematical Quantum Theory to circumvent visualization and inadequacy of language. But mathematics too is a language to supplement description. He used it to superimpose hidden concepts leading to the Uncertainty Principle. In Unified Theory the wave & particle aspects of electromagnetic radiation and moving material particle coexist blended together as wave-quantum UNITY. This is also supported by experiments. The wave-or-quantum DUALITIES of Quantum Theory appear due to experimental limitations to observe only one and not both of the two aspects simultaneously. Conservation of mass & momentum are inviolable. Matter‘s creation from, or dissolution into, ‘nothing’ is unrealistic. So the Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle is rejected as unrealistic and new Principle of Null Action with universal applications is introduced. The Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Theory is reappraised critically. This paper will bring out and rectify the unreality of Heisenberg-Bohr [1] approach and also explain from sharmon medium of the Unified Theory [2], the Wave-Quantum 'unity' appearing as Wave-or-Quantum 'duality', which the Quantum Theory was all about but could not explain satisfactorily. The Uncertainty Principle will be rejected as unrealistic and a new Principle of Null Action with universal applications introduced. The Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Theory will be critically reappraised. 1. The objective reality exists irrespective of the observer We observe an object through the signals, emanating or reflected from it, received by our senses and interpreted by the brain/mind. The human senses and intellect have their own limitations and the mediating signals themselves introduce some distortion or uncertainty of observation. It turns precise objective reality into imprecise subjective appearance. Heisenberg [1] made the subjective imprecision as the very nature of things and based his Quantum Theory on the observer's imprecise view of the intrinsically precise physical reality. But the physical objects, phenomena and events, which their theories purport to describe, do not actually need any observer for their existence and are, in fact, governed by NOT the observed but actual magnitudes of their physical parameters like energy, momentum, time, length etc. For instance, the moon or distant galaxies or invisible submicroscopic particles exist not only during the attention of the viewer but also without an observer. In order to formulate physical laws in terms of the observed or measured magnitudes, the Quantum Theory is erroneously based on “what can be known”, instead of on “what actually there is”, in the objective reality. That is on the observed, and not on the actual magnitudes, putting the observer's imprecise view super-most in derogation of the inherent precision in the observed objective reality. 2. Wave-or-Quantum duality of matter & radiation in Quantum Theory Heisenberg [1] noted with scientific curiosity and concern that the -rays emitted from radioactive elements showed definite tracks in Wilson photographs like fast moving particles.
A brief historical review of the Principle of Least Action is given, and it's methodological importance is emphasized: the basic equations of Classical Mechanics can be derived from the conjunction of the Principle Least Action with the Galilean Principle of Relativity and the hypothesis of homogeneity and isotropy of space and the homogeneity of time. In classical electrodinamics, the situation is similar: one can build the action keeping now in mind the Einstein's Principle of Relativity. By means of the solution of the Euler-Lagrange equations one obtain the equations of motion of charges in given fields (Lorentz force) and the first pair of Maxwell equations. Also, starting from the sources of the field (charges and currents), the second pair of Maxwell equations is obtained.\nIn the case of the General Relativity, the trajectories of a free particle are given by the geodesic lines in space-time. The Einstein equations are also obtained by finding the extreme of some action. A brief historical review of quantum theory is given, starting from the introduction of the quantum of action in physics, to the Schrödinger equation, which can be obtained from a variational principle, and the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. Interesting is the role of the classical action in the formulation of quantum mechanics by means of the Feynman path integrals. In it, the classical trajectory in the motion of a system between two configurations, it corresponds the limit in which the Planck constant tends to zero. In quantum electrodinamics, it is required also to start from a Lagrangian together with the properties of space-time simmetry, the gauge invariance and the CPT invariance. Finally, mention is made to the electroweak theory and to quantum cromodynamics
It is often claimed that Einstein is wrong about quantum mechanics. However, when comparisons are made with respect to theoretical foundations rather than experimental results Einstein’s theories are found to be superior. Although quantum mechanics correctly predicts what it is possible to observe (the emissions) with remarkable accuracy it ignores the other half of natural phenomena, that which cannot be observed (the absorptions), thereby violating the conservation of energy. Similarly, the conservation of momentum is violated by disregarding unobservable molecular impulses. Despite irrefutable proof that molecular impulses transfer momentum asymmetrically as shown by Einstein’s derivation of the A and B coefficients, the wave function is assumed to apply symmetrically in time. The deficiencies are corrected by introducing Hamilton’s principle and deriving relativistic equations of motion. This allows non-relativistic quantum mechanics to be described with a physical model and wave function behavior to be interpreted as the combined action of a particle and its associated quantized field. The calculus of variations is applied to the wave function to show that it is an incomplete equation of motion because it yields twice the allowable action minimum. The concept of reality is redefined by showing that reductionism applies to classical phenomena, but not quantum phenomena.
The principle of least action, which has so successfully been applied to diverse fields of physics looks back at three centuries of philosophical and mathematical discussions and controversies. They could not explain why nature is applying the principle and why scalar energy quantities succeed in describing dynamic motion. When the least action integral is subdivided into infinitesimal small sections each one has to maintain the ability to minimize. This however has the mathematical consequence that the Lagrange function at a given point of the trajectory, the dynamic, available energy generating motion, must itself have a fundamental property to minimize. Since a scalar quantity, a pure number, cannot do that, energy must fundamentally be dynamic and time oriented for a consistent understanding. It must have vectorial properties in aiming at a decrease of free energy per state (which would also allow derivation of the second law of thermodynamics). Present physics is ignoring that and applying variation calculus as a formal mathematical tool to impose a minimization of scalar assumed energy quantities for obtaining dynamic motion. When, however, the dynamic property of energy is taken seriously it is fundamental and has also to be applied to quantum processes. A consequence is that particle and wave are not equivalent, but the wave (distributed energy) follows from the first (concentrated energy). Information, provided from the beginning, an information self-image of matter, is additionally needed to recreate the particle from the wave, shaping a “dynamic” particle-wave duality. It is shown that this new concept of a “dynamic” quantum state rationally explains quantization, the double slit experiment and quantum correlation, which has not been possible before. Some more general considerations on the link between quantum processes, gravitation and cosmological phenomena are also advanced.
This paper aims to establish an absolute physical and informational ontological mechanism for the "Principle of Least Action," the most supreme yet long-shrouded-in-teleological-ghosts principle in theoretical physics. This study thoroughly shatters the phenomenological myth that has downgraded this principle into an "a priori mathematical axiom" or "nature's energy-saving strategy" for over three centuries, formally declaring that the evolution of physical laws possesses no prescient consciousness or teleology. Based on the dual-phase void topological structure of The Grand Unified Theory of Cosmic Mind, this research demonstrates: the interactions and dynamical evolution of all things in the universe originate from the "Geometric Extreme Repulsion" triggered by the logical incompatibility between the "absolute vacuum" inside physical particles and the external background "absolute vacuum." When this action and reaction—attempting to annihilate each other—are blocked by the particle membrane (the absolute boundary formed by information deadlock) and thus unable to penetrate and thoroughly return to the dead ground state of the absolute vacuum, the system is forced into an eternal topological collision and "dynamic compromise." Therefore, the so-called least action is, in reality, the "Relative Stable State"—the state closest to the absolute vacuum with the minimal geometric resistance—that the system can passively find when jammed by the relentless pincer attack of this dual absolute repulsive force within its current environment. In the mathematical formulation of quantum dynamics, this study strictly analyzes the underlying computational process of this blind search for a compromise state via the Feynman Path Integral . In the full-path expansion within Hilbert space, any minute path variation (δS≠ 0) deviating from the bottom of the geometric well will, under the non-linear amplification of the reduced Planck constant (ℏ), cause the phase factor of its probability amplitude to undergo extremely high-frequency runaway oscillations. This forces all non-extremal, high-energy-consuming paths to trigger absolute Destructive Interference during the reduced density matrix computation in the quantum buffer zone, leading these invalid evolutionary histories to undergo Spontaneous Decoherence and be thoroughly mathematically annihilated in physical reality. Only that extremal path—perfectly jammed at the bottom of the repulsive dynamic equilibrium well and satisfying the condition of zero first-order variation (δS=0)—can survive through the constructive interference of stationary phases, being forcefully collapsed and projected as the classical trajectory we observe macroscopically. This model ultimately establishes: the deterministic trajectories of classical physics and the Euler-Lagrange equations are by no means a profound blueprint preordained by a creator; their essence is merely the sole Geometric Relic forced out and left behind by the repulsive tension of the absolute vacuum within the cruel matrix of decoherence.
It is often claimed that Einstein is wrong about quantum mechanics. However, when comparisons are made with respect to theoretical foundations rather than experimental results Einstein’s theories are found to be superior. Although quantum mechanics correctly describes energy exchange due to emissions with remarkable accuracy it ignores momentum exchange (the absorptions), thereby failing to recognize their causal relationship due to the conservation laws. The deficiencies in non-relativistic theory are corrected by introducing Hamilton’s principle and deriving relativistic equations of motion. This allows wave function behavior to be described as the combined action of a particle and an associated localized field. The calculus of variations is applied to the Schrödinger wave equation to show that it is incomplete because it yields twice the allowable action minimum.
