Abstract

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, which he announced in 1927, grow out of his attempts to explain some of the quantum mechanics peculiarities. This principle holds that it is impossible to determine simultaneously, with any certainty, the position, and the particle's momentum, the more accurately the investigator determines one, the less accurate by he can know the other, according to the metric expression: Δx·Δp x ≥ h. On this article I aim the philosophical certainty of Quantum Mechanics, because one effect of Heisenberg's research was to transform some physical laws into probability's statements.

Why does uncertainty come in quantum mechanics?

Muhammad Yasin

In 1927 Heisenberg has invented the uncertainty principle. The principle of uncertainty is, "It is impossible to determine the position and momentum of a particle at the same time."The more accurately the momentum is measured, the more uncertain the position will be. Just knowing the position would make the momentum uncertain. Einstein was adamant against this principle until his death. He thought that particles have some secret rules. Einstein thought, "The uncertainty principle is incomplete. There is a mistake somewhere that has resulted in uncertainty. Many did not accept Einstein then. But I'm sure Einstein was right then, there are secret rules for particles. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is also 100% correct . I recently published a research paper named "Quantum Certainty Mechanics"[1], which shows the principle of measuring the momentum and position of particles by the quantum certainty principle. Why uncertainty comes from certainty is the main topic of this research paper. When the value of the energy absorbed by the electron in the laboratory is calculated, the uncertainty is removed. The details are discussed below.

A brief analysis of the physical significance of Heisenberg's uncertainty principle

Guannan Zhou

The principle of uncertainty is one of the essential principles of quantum mechanics as it outlines that there is a reflective limit to the measurement of microscopic particle motion. However it is impossible to measure at once and accurately both the position and momentum data of any microscopic particle no matter what means are used to do so. This paper starts by discussing the notion and mathematical derivation of the uncertainty principle as put forth by Heisenberg explaining the physical relevance of the principle. It introduces the natural uncertainty the principle introduces to the dynamics of particles in the microscopic world, and the significant part it plays in the theory of quantum mechanics. The article overviews the explanations of the principle on phenomena including atomic stability and scanning tunneling microscopes, and the interference of measurement actions on the states of particles and the shortcomings of measurement precision. According to the wave-particle duality of quantum mechanics, this article gives a required theoretical basis of microscopic phenomena. Likewise, the use of the research theory on the uncertainty principle by distinguished scholars in the physics fraternity helps the readers in achieving the knowledge in related subjects more easily.

Mathematics Behind the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

Dewi Wulandari

Most physics books do not reveal clearly how the Heisenberg uncertainty principle was derived. This uncertainty comes from the consequence of the wave-particle duality of matter giving statement that position and momentum cannot be measured in the same time. This article tries to reveal mathematics background behind the expression the Heisenberg uncertainty using supported mathematics background such as Fourier transform, Fourier transform integral, the probability of Gaussian distribution and it ends up with the expression of wave function which describe the localized particle giving relation Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

Anti Heisenberg—Refutation Of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Relation

Ilija Barukčić, Andrei Yu. Khrennikov, Gregg S. Jaeger +2 more

The quantum mechanical uncertainty principle for position and momentum plays an important role in many treatments on the (philosophical, physical and other) implications of quantum mechanics. Roughly speaking, the more precisely the momentum (position) of a (quantum mechanical) object is given, the less precisely can one say what its position (momentum) is. This quantum mechanical measurement problem is not just an interpretational difficulty, it raises broader issues as well. The measurement (of a property) of a (quantum mechanical) object determines the existence of the measured. In brief, the quantum mechanical uncertainty principle challenges some fundamental principles of Science and especially the principle of causality. In particular, an independently existing (external) objective reality is denied. As we shall see, that the quantum mechanical uncertainty principle for position and momentum is based on the assumption that 1⩽0, which is a logical contradiction.

Analysis of Principle and State-of-art Implementations of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty

Yinuo Shao

As a matter of fact, the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle has important significance and extensive application in microcosmic particle science, is one of the cornerstones of quantum mechanics, proposed by Heisenberg in 1927. The uncertainty principle means that it is impossible to measure a particle’s speed and position at the same time. The uncertainty of particle, i.e., the product of uncertainty of position (∆Q) and uncertainty of momentum (∆P), is inevitable greater than or equal to Plank’s constant, it expresses the inconsistency between particle behavior in microcosm and macroscopic substance. This study is going to set forth the uncertainty meaning, the research progress of uncertainty principle from the angle of physics, and further exploring the physical significance of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. According to the analysis, the state-of-art applications will be demonstrated as well as the current limitations and prospects will be discussed. Overall, these results pave a novel path for further investigation in regarding to Heisenberg’s uncertainty.
