Abstract

Nature is the relations between processes and phenomena. Nothing exists in a Universe without relations. Computing is the transaction of relations between data using control and execution mechanisms. Quantum relations are a superposition of particles and their states. Quantum computing is unconditional transactions of relations between qubit data. Entanglement is a nonlocal superposition of deterministic states. A quantum computer is an analog device for solving combinatorial problems in parallel. Practically focused definitions of the concepts of quantum computing represent a path to the development of scalable quantum parallel algorithms for solving combinatorial problems. Any algorithm can be reduced to a sequence of operations without conditions, because any truth table is a collection of a complete system of conditions-states. Any sequence of actions can always be reduced to one parallel operation. Conditions and sequences arise only when the developer uses previously created primitives-constructs to build an always non-optimal calculator. The deterministic paradigm of creating quantum computing by using photon transactions on the electrons of an atom can exclude the use of quantum logic. The evolutionary path of quantum computing from the classical one: Memory-Address-Transaction (MAT) $\rightarrow$ Electron-Address-Transaction $\rightarrow$Electron-Address-Quantaction (EAQ)$\rightarrow$State-Superposition- Logic. What is calculated on a quantum computer can be calculated in parallel on a classical computer due to the redundancy of memory. MAT-computing implements any algorithms through transactions (read-write) in memory. Qubit-vector models for describing functionalities differ from the known truth tables in terms of compactness of description and technological implementation of parallel algorithms for the synthesis and analysis of digital devices and SoC-components. An example is given – a memory-driven algorithm for simulating digital devices based on qubit-vector forms of describing functionalities for a significant increase in the productivity of computing processes by parallel execution of logical operations. Comparative evaluations of the use of qubit models and methods show an increase in the efficiency of algorithms for simulating digital devices in comparison with tabular ones. The superposition of classical, quantum and analog computing is integrally presented, which makes it possible to search the best solutions for recognition and decision making.

Quantum Deterministic Computing

Wajeb Gharibi, Vladimir I. Hahanov, Ka Lok Man +3 more

A novel deterministic paradigm for creating quantum computing via photon transactions with the electrons of an atom is described. This paradigm is free of quantum logic. The practically focused evolutionary path of quantum computing starting with the classical approach is shown: Memory-Address-Transaction → Electron-Address-Transaction Electron → Address- Quantaction (EAQ). Qubit-vector models for describing functionalities are proposed that differ from the known truth tables in the compactness of description and technological ability of the algorithm implementation for synthesis and analysis of digital devices and SoC components. For example, we consider a memory-driven algorithm for the simulation of digital devices based on qubit-vector forms for describing functionalities with a significant increase in the performance of computational processes. These processes can be utilized for analysis and synthesis through parallel execution of logic operations. A set of comparative estimates of qubit models and methods for improving the efficiency of the algorithms for simulating digital devices is presented.

ARCHITECTURE OF QUANTUM COMPUTING

Alfonso Recio Hernández, Alma L. Esparza Maldonado, Jorge Humberto Dzul Bermejo

Quantum computing is emerging as a revolutionary paradigm in the field of computing, promising an exponential leap in computing power and problemsolving that challenges even the most advanced supercomputers of the classical era.At the heart of this revolution lies the peculiarity of the quantum world, where subatomic particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously, a phenomenon known as superposition, and entangle their states in a way that defies classical logic. It is this capacity for superposition and entanglement that gives quantum computing its disruptive power. One of the most intriguing properties of quantum computing is its ability to process information using Qubits, the quantum analogues of classical bits. While a classical bit can only be in a single 0 or 1 state, a Qubit can simultaneously represent a 0, a 1, or any superposition of these states, allowing multiple calculations to be performed in parallel. This massively parallel processing capability is the basis for the potential superiority of quantum computers over their classical counterparts in a wide range of applications. The architecture of quantum computers is inherently different from classical computers. While the latter use transistors to store and manipulate information in bits, quantum computers use Qubits, which can be implemented in a variety of physical systems, such as atoms, ion traps, photons, superconductors or nuclear magnetic resonance. The manipulation of the Qubits is carried out through quantum gates, fundamental operations that transform the quantum state of the Qubits and allow quantum calculations to be carried out.Furthermore, to maintain quantum coherence, the control and isolation of the quantum system from its environment is crucial, posing significant challenges in terms of designing and building scalable and robust quantum systems.

Quantum Computers and Their Simulation.

Thomas Lippert

Quantum computing is based on the exploitation of quantum effects to perform some important computations more efficiently than ever possible on classical computers. Well known quantum algorithms are Shors polynomial time factoring algorithm and Grovers data base search scheme. Their potential is due to the parallelism of a quantum computation increasing exponentially with the size of the computing device. IBM has succeeded in building a first working quantum computing device with up to 7 qubits based on NMR technology, however, the construction of large multi-qubit systems appears to become extremely difficult due to the loss of coherence of the quantum states. Like the design process of modern microprocessors which is carried out by means of sophisticated software, modelling and simulation of the entire QC device is even more relevant. Simulation is required in order to understand the functioning of quantum algorithms, to construct novel quantum algorithms, to write quantum programs, to teach quantum computing, to construct real quantum computers, to understand and fight de-coherence and to understand and control the influence of the environment. Since quantum parallelism increases exponentially with the size of the quantum computer, parallel supercomputers are required for realistic simulations. I intend to give an introduction into the simulation of quantum computers using conventional computers. The simulation is based on a generic physical model of quantum computer hardware. Issues like parallel gate level simulators, modelling of QCs, simulators for physical quantum computers are addressed.

A REPORT ON QUANTUM COMPUTING

Achintya A. Paradkar

Today's computers work on bits that exist as either 0 or 1. Quantum computers aren't limited to two states; they encode information as quantum bits, or qubits, which can exist in superposition. Qubits represent atoms, ions, photons or electrons and their respective control devices that are working together to act as computer memory and a processor. Because a quantum computer can contain these multiple states simultaneously, it has the potential to be millions of times more powerful than today's most powerful supercomputers. A processor that can use registers of qubits will be able to perform calculations using all the possible values of the input registers simultaneously. This superposition causes a phenomenon called quantum parallelism, and is the motivating force behind the research being carried out in quantum computing. Due to technical obstacles, till date, a quantum computer has not yet been realized. But the concepts and ideas of quantum computing has been demonstrated using various methods like NMR, Ion Trap, Quantum Dot, Optical Methods, etc. A quantum computer manipulates qubits by executing a series of quantum gates, each a unitary transformation acting on a single qubit or pair of qubits. In applying these gates in succession, a quantum computer can perform a complicated unitary transformation to a set of qubits in some initial state. The qubits can then be measured, with this measurement serving as the final computational result. Research must devise a way to maintain decoherence and other potential sources of error at an acceptable level. Probably the most important idea in this field is the application of error correction in phase coherence as a means to extract information and reduce error in a quantum system without actually measuring that system. Thereby, quantum computers will emerge as the superior computational devices and perhaps one day make today's modern computer obsolete.
