Abstract

The solutions of the Klein- Gordon equation for the quantum mechanical gravitational plus harmonic oscillator potential with equal scalar and vector potential have been presented using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy eigenvalues were obtained in relativistic and non-relativistic regime and the corresponding un-normalized eigenfunctions in terms of Laguerre polynomials. The numerical values for the S – wave bound state were obtained.

Benedict I. Ita, Alexander Immaanyikwa Ikeuba, A. N. Ikot

The solutions of the Schrödinger equation with quantum mechanical gravitational potential plus harmonic oscillator potential have been presented using the parametric Nikiforov—Uvarov method. The bound state energy eigen values and the corresponding un-normalized eigen functions are obtained in terms of Laguerre polynomials. Also a special case of the potential has been considered and its energy eigen values are obtained.

C. A. Onate, A. N. Ikot, M. C. Onyeaju +1 more

By using the basic supersymmetric quantum mechanics concepts and formalism, the energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding wave function of the Klein–Gordon equation with vector and scalar potentials for an arbitrary dimensions are obtained together with hyperbolic potential using a suitable approximation scheme to the orbital centrifugal term. The non-relativistic limit is obtained and the numerical values for various values of D, n, α and ℓ are obtained.

Bound states of Klein-Gordon equation for ring-shaped non-spherical harmonic oscillator potentials

Fa‐Lin Lu, Chen Chang-Yuan, 盐城师范学院物理系,盐城 224002

By using the ordinary method of variable separation, the bound states of Klein-Gordon equation of the ring-shaped non-spherical harmonic oscillator with equal scalar and vector potentials are solved. The normalized angular wave function expressed in terms of the universal associatedLegendre polynomial and the normalized radial wave function expressed in terms of the confluent hyper-geometric function are presented. The exact energy spectrum equations are obtained.

“Square-Root” Klein–Gordon Equation: The Harmonic and Morse Potentials

Luis A. Poveda, Bill Poirier, Arthur R. B. de Magalhães

Quantum relativistic solutions for a particle in a one-dimensional Morse potential are presented using methods previously proposed and applied to a particle in a harmonic oscillator. The methods lead to both numerical and analytical solutions, with the latter allowing smooth variation of the system parameters from non-relativistic to ultrarelativistic limits. Analytical expressions for the energy levels and wavefunctions are obtained, as solutions to a Schrödinger-type equation, including relativistic effects through a state dependent rescaled mass. The eigenstates of the Morse potential exhibit suitable and smooth behavior, and approach the corresponding harmonic oscillator solutions as the depth of the Morse potential well increases, as expected. A comparison is also presented between the relativistic harmonic oscillator obtained with this method, and the so-called Klein-Gordon oscillator.

Modified Schrodinger Equation With Modified QM Gravitational and Harmonic Oscillator Potentials in Symmetries of Non-commutative QM

Abdelmadjid Maireche

Modified Schrodinger equation plays a fundamental role for describing the behavior of a particle at microscopic scale. In this context, we have studied the non-relativistic energy spectra of the modified quantum mechanical gravitational potential plus the harmonic oscillator (MQMGHO) potential using the generalized Bopp’s shift method and standard perturbation theory within the framework of non-commutative 3-dimensional phase space (NC: 3D-RSP) symmetries. Furthermore, we have shown that the modified Hamiltonian operator containing a perturbed Coulomb potential, which physically means the global Hamiltonian of MQMGHO potential, can be described as Hydrogenic atoms interacting with strong potential composed of quantum mechanical gravitational potential plus the harmonic oscillator (QMGHO) potential and an auxiliary part. The bound state energy eigenvalues, in terms of discreet atomic quantum numbers ( j , n, landm ), four infinitesimal parameters , , ,  induced by positionposition and phase-phase non-commutativity, in addition to the dimensional parameters of MQMGHO potential and the corresponding noncommutative Hamiltonian operator were obtained for Hydrogenic atoms.
