General symmetry operators of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model within Bogoliubov operator approach

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a general scheme to obtain the symmetry operators in the asymmetric quantum Rabi model within Bogoliubov operator approaches. The previous symmetry operators for small integer biases can be extremely easily reproduced in our scheme. Moreover, we can easily obtain the symmetry operators for arbitrary large biases hierarchically, which is perhaps hardly treated with the standard approach based on the expansions on the original Fock space.

General symmetry operators of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model

You-Fei Xie, Qing‐Hu Chen

Abstract The true level crossing in the asymmetric quantum Rabi model without any obvious symmetry can be exhibited in the energy spectrum if the qubit bias is a multiple of the cavity frequency, which should imply the existence of the hidden symmetry. In this work, within a Bogoliubov operator approach, we can readily derive the symmetry operators associated with the hidden symmetry hierarchically for arbitrary multiples. The symmetry operators for small multiples in the literature can be extremely easily reproduced in our general scheme. In addition, a general parity operator is defined through the symmetry operator, which naturally includes the well-known parity operator of the symmetric model. We believe that the present approach can be straightforwardly extended to other asymmetric Rabi models to find the relevant symmetry operators.

Symmetry operators of the asymmetric two-photon quantum Rabi model

You-Fei Xie, Qing‐Hu Chen

Abstract The true level crossings in a subspace of the asymmetric two-photon quantum Rabi model (tpQRM) have been observed when the bias parameter of qubit is an even multiple of the renormalized cavity frequency. Generally, such level crossings imply the existence of the hidden symmetry because the bias term breaks the obvious symmetry exactly. In this work, we propose a Bogoliubov operator approach for the asymmetric tpQRM to derive the symmetry operators associated with the hidden symmetry hierarchically. The explicit symmetry operators consisting of Lie algebra at low biases can be easily obtained in our general scheme. We believe the present approach can be extended for other asymmetric Rabi models to find the relevant hidden symmetry.

The hidden symmetry of the asymmetric two-photon Rabi model

You-Fei Xie, Qing‐Hu Chen

In this paper, we derive the symmetry operators ($J$'s) in the asymmetric two-photon quantum Rabi models in terms of Bogoliubov operator approaches. $ J^2$ can be expressed as a polynomial in terms of the Hamiltonian, which uncovers the $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$ nature of the hidden symmetry in this two-photon model rigorously. The previous symmetry operators in the asymmetric one-photon quantum Rabi models are reproduced readily in terms of Bogoliubov operator approaches, and the obtained operators are expressed much more concisely. It is found that the polynomial degree of $J^2$ in the two-photon model is twice of that in the one-photon model.

Hidden symmetry in the biased Dicke model

Xilin Lu, Zi-Min Li, Vladimir V Mangazeev +1 more

Abstract The symmetry operators generating the hidden Z 2 symmetry of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model (AQRM) at bias ϵ ∈ 1 2 Z have recently been constructed by Mangazeev et al (2021 J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 54 12LT01). We start with this result to determine symmetry operators for the N -qubit generalisation of the AQRM, also known as the biased Dicke model, at special biases. We also prove for general N that the symmetry operators, which commute with the Hamiltonian of the biased Dicke model, generate a Z 2 symmetry.

The hidden symmetry of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model

Vladimir V. Mangazeev, Murray T. Batchelor, Vladimir V. Bazhanov

Abstract The asymmetric quantum Rabi model (AQRM) exhibits level crossings in the eigenspectrum for the values ϵ ∈ 1 2 Z of the bias parameter ϵ . Such level crossings are expected to be associated with some hidden symmetry of the model. The origin of this hidden symmetry is established by finding the operators which commute with the AQRM Hamiltonian at these special values. The construction is given explicitly for the first several cases ϵ = 0 , 1 2 , 1 and can be applied to other related light–matter interaction models for which similar level crossings have been observed in the presence of a bias term.

Hidden symmetry operators for asymmetric generalized quantum Rabi models

Xilin Lu, Zi-Min Li, Vladimir V. Mangazeev +1 more

The hidden Z 2 symmetry of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model (AQRM) has recently been revealed via a systematic construction of the underlying symmetry operator. Based on the AQRM result, we propose an ansatz for the general form of the symmetry operators for AQRM-related models. Applying this ansatz we obtain the symmetry operator for three models: the anisotropic AQRM, the asymmetric Rabi–Stark model (ARSM), and the anisotropic ARSM.
