Separability criteria based on the realignment of density matrices and reduced density matrices

Shu‐Qian Shen, Mengyuan Wang, Ming Li +1 more

By combining a parameterized Hermitian matrix, the realignment matrix of the bipartite density matrix, and the vectorization of its reduced density matrices, we present a family of separability criteria which are stronger than the computable cross-norm or realignment (CCNR) criterion. With linear contraction methods, the proposed criteria can be used to detect the multipartite entangled states that are biseparable under any bipartite partitions. Moreover, we show by examples that the presented multipartite separability criteria can be more efficient than the corresponding multipartite realignment criterion based on CCNR, multipartite correlation tensor criterion, and multipartite covariance matrix criterion.

On genuine entanglement for tripartite systems

Hui Zhao, Lin Liu, Zhi‐Xi Wang +2 more

In this paper, we investigate the genuine entanglement in tripartite systems based on partial transposition and the norm of correlation tensors of the density matrices. We first derive an analytical sufficient criterion to detect genuine entanglement of tripartite qubit states combining with the partial transposition of the density matrices. Then, we use the norm of correlation tensors to study genuine entanglement for tripartite qudit quantum states and obtain a genuine entanglement criterion by constructing certain matrices. With detailed examples, our results are seen to be able to detect more genuine tripartite entangled states than previous studies.

Exploring Near-Optimal Contraction Strategies for the Scalar Product in the Tensor-Train Format

Przemysław Dominikowski, Atte Torri, Brice Pointal +3 more

Tensor-train (TT) decomposition has gained tremendous popularity due to its efficiency in handling high-dimensional data arising in scientific and quantum computing as well as machine learning applications. It provides a compact representation of matrices and vectors with a Kronecker product-like low-rank structure, and hence enables efficient matrix-vector operations in this compressed form. The vector scalar product is among such key operations, comprising a series of tensor contractions in a specific TT network where the order of contractions significantly impacts the computational cost. In this work, we introduce fast algorithms for finding a near-optimal contraction ordering for such networks. We show that our algorithms find such contraction orderings efficiently, outperforming the ordering methods for general tensor networks. Compared to our approaches, the best existing method incurs a higher cost of up to 15% for xTy, twice for xTAy, and more than ten times for xTABy scalar products, where A and B are matrices expressed in TT format.
