Abstract

Using the spectral theorema in context of Green's function in momentum space of neutrons in the magnetic field of a linear conductor with current the bound state energy spectrum and eigenfunctions are deduced. It's also pointed out that this problem present a new scenary of Green's function in non-relativistic quantum mechanics.

Neutron in the magnetic field of a linear conductor with current as an example of the two-dimensional supersymmetric problem

A. I. Voronin

The exact solution is presented for the quantum-mechanical problem of a neutron interacting with the magnetic field of a linear conductor with current. It is shown that this problem has a supersymmetry. The energy spectrum and eigenfunctions are derived in a closed form using this supersymmetry.

Motion in a Constant Magnetic Field

M. H. Johnson, Bernard A. Lippmann

The motion of a charged particle in a constant magnetic field is treated in both relativistic and non-relativistic quantum theory. Operators representing the center of the orbit, which obey the commutation law for conjugate variables, are introduced and their connections with energy, angular momentum, and magnetic moment studied. Energy eigenfunctions in an operator form are obtained by factorization. Previously derived eigenfunctions in coordinate space are obtained and are shown to be eigenfunctions for the operators for the center of the orbit as well as for the energy. Corresponding relativistic eigenfunctions are derived by a simple device which enables one to construct solutions of the Dirac equation from solutions of the Schr\"odinger equation.

Path integral for confined Dirac fermions in a constant magnetic field

Abdeldjalil Merdaci, Ahmed Jellal, L. Chétouani

In this paper, we consider Dirac fermion confined in harmonic potential and submitted to a constant magnetic field. The corresponding solutions of the energy spectrum are obtained by using the path integral techniques. For this, we begin by establishing a symmetric global projection, which provides a symmetric form for the Green function. Based on this, we show that it is possible to end up with the propagator of the harmonic oscillator for one charged particle. After some transformations, we derive the normalized wave functions and the eigenvalues in terms of different physical parameters and quantum numbers. By interchanging quantum numbers, we show that our solutions have interesting properties. The density of current and the nonrelativistic limit are analyzed where different conclusions are obtained. Finally, the completeness of the Dirac oscillator eigenfunctions is proved by using the standard properties of the generalized Laguerre polynomials.

Green’s function for crossed time-dependent electric and magnetic fields. Phase-space quantum mechanics approach

Luis Miguel Nieto

In the present paper, the Moyal propagator is obtained for an electron inmersed in a constant uniform magnetic field crossed with a uniform electric field having arbitrary time dependence, using the techniques of phase space quantum mechanics. All the interesting magnitudes can be evaluated from it, and one can make quantum physics remaining in the context of phase space. Making use of these methods, the corresponding Green’s function is also obtained.
