100 Gbit/s (10 x 10 Gbit/s) Y-00 cipher transmission over 120 km for secure optical fiber communication between data centers

Fumio Futami, Osamu Hirota

For secure and high capacity inter-data center link, WDM transmission experiment of 100-Gbit/s cipher is demonstrated using Y-00 protocol with 64-level intensity modulation. Error-free transmission in 120-km amplifier repeated fiber link is successfully achieved.

40 Gbit/s (4 × 10 Gbit/s) Y-00 Protocol for Secure Optical Communication and its Transmission over 120 km

Fumio Futami, Osamu Hirota

WDM transmitter and receiver for physical stream cipher based on Y-00 protocol using 64-level intensity modulation are demonstrated for increasing transmission capacity. 40-Gb/s Y-00 signals are successfully transmitted over 120-km amplifier repeater transmission line.

A Single-channel 40 Gbit/s Digital Coherent QAM Quantum Stream Cipher Transmission over 480 km

Masataka Nakazawa, Masato Yoshida, Toshihiko Hirooka +1 more

We demonstrate a single-channel 40-Gbit/s QAM quantum stream cipher transmission over 480-km. By using a multi-bit encoded scheme and digital coherent transmission techniques, record data capacity and transmission distance of secure optical communication have been successfully realized.
