Extraction of single photons by a cavity-QED system

Kazuki Koshino

The nonlinear dynamics of a classical photon pulse occurring at a two-sided cavity QED system in the weak-coupling regime is investigated theoretically. It is shown that this system functions as a single-photon filter.

Enhanced Light-Matter Interactions for a Single T Center in a Silicon Nanocavity

Yu-En Wong, Adam Johnston, Ulises Felix-Rendon +1 more

We investigate light-matter interactions for a single T center coupled to a silicon photonic crystal cavity. By solving Lindblad master equation, we extract the cavity-QED parameters for the coupled system.

Deterministic Single-Photon Generation by Cavity QED

Kazuhiro Hayasaka

Deterministic generation of single photons is an essential ingredient for quantum information experiments. Controlled emission of single photons into a cavity mode with high efficiency is proposed using a coupled system of an atom and a cavity. This paper reports theoretical discussions on single-photon generation by cavity quantum electrodynamics (Cavity QED) as well as recent progress in experiments with atoms and ions.
