Abstract

In this paper, the problem of private communication of classical messages over a quantum multiple access channel under one-shot setting is studied. In this regard, we first introduce general quantum multiple access wiretap channel, and then we calculate an achievable secrecy rate region for the main channel. The encoding process follows the combination of the superposition and Wyner wiretap coding schemes, and the decoding technique is based on the simultaneous decoder and convex splitting. At last, we extend the results to the l-user case.

Classical-Quantum Multiple Access Channel with Secrecy Constraint: One-Shot Rate Region

Hadi Aghaee, Bahareh Akhbari

In this paper, we aim to study a -user quantum multiple access wiretap channel with an arbitrary number of wiretappers under one-shot setting. In this regard, we first introduce the general quantum multiple access wiretap channel and the simplified proposed channel. Then, we calculate an achievable secrecy rate region for the main channel with two users. The encoding process uses the superposition and wiretap coding techniques, and the decoding technique is based on the simultaneous decoder. Also, Convex splitting is used to satisfy security requirements. At last, we extend the results to the l-user case.

Quantum Multiple Access Wiretap Channel: On the One-Shot Achievable Secrecy Rate Regions

Hadi Aghaee, Bahareh Akhbari

In this paper, we want to investigate classical-quantum multiple access wiretap channels (CQ-MA-WTC) under one-shot setting. In this regard, we analyze the CQ-MA-WTC using simultaneous position-based decoder for reliable decoding and using a newly introduced technique in order to decode securely. Also, for the sake of comparison, we analyze the CQ-MA-WTC using Sen's one-shot joint typicality lemma for reliable decoding. The simultaneous position-based decoder tends to a multiple hypothesis testing problem. Also, using convex splitting to analyze the privacy criteria in a simultaneous scenario becomes problematic. To overcome both problems, we first introduce a new channel that can be considered as a dual to the CQ-MA-WTC. This channel is called a point-to-point quantum wiretap channel with multiple messages (PP-QWTC). In the following, as a strategy to solve the problem, we also investigate and analyze quantum broadcast channels (QBCs) under the one-shot setting.

Hadi Aghaee, Bahareh Akhbari

In this paper, the problem of secure communication over an entanglement-assisted classical-quantum multiple access channel is studied under one-shot setting. The main employed approach to this end, is combination of simultaneous decoding and position-based decoding techniques while a recently introduced approach is used to calculate leaked information.

Hadi Aghaee, Bahareh Akhbari

In this paper, we want to derive achievable secrecy rate regions for quantum interference channel with classical inputs under one-shot setting. The main idea to this end is to use the combination of superposition and rate splitting for encoding scheme and constructing a decoding scheme based on simultaneous decoding.

One-shot inner bounds for sending private classical information over a quantum MAC

Sayantan Chakraborty, Aditya Nema, Pranab Sen

We provide the first inner bounds for sending private classical information over a quantum multiple access channel. We do so by using three powerful information theoretic techniques: rate splitting, quantum simultaneous decoding for multiple access channels, and a novel smoothed distributed covering lemma for classical quantum channels. Our inner bounds are given in the one shot setting and accordingly the three techniques used are all very recent ones specifically designed to work in this setting. The last technique is new to this work and is our main technical advancement. For the asymptotic iid setting, our one shot inner bounds lead to the natural quantum analogue of the best classical inner bounds for this problem. A full version of this paper is accessible at [5].

One-Shot Capacity Bounds on the Simultaneous Transmission of Classical and Quantum Information

Farzin Salek, Anurag Anshu, Min-Hsiu Hsieh +2 more

We study the communication capabilities of a quantum channel under the most general channel model known as the one-shot model. Unlike classical channels that can only be used to transmit classical information (bits), a quantum channel can be used for transmission of classical information, quantum information (qubits) and simultaneous transmission of classical and quantum information. In this work, we investigate the one-shot capabilities of a quantum channel for simultaneously transmitting bits and qubits. This problem was studied in the asymptotic regime for a memoryless channel where a regularized characterization of the capacity region was reported. It is known that the transmission of private classical information is closely related to the problem of quantum information transmission. We resort to this idea and find achievable and converse bounds on the simultaneous transmission of the public and private classical information. Then shifting the classical private rate to the quantum information rate leads to a rate region for simultaneous transmission of classical and quantum information. In the case of asymptotic i.i.d. setting, our one-shot result is evaluated to the known results in the literature. Our main tools used in the achievability proofs are position-based decoding and convex-split lemma.
