Abstract

This paper presents a new control jamming (CJ) scheme for AF relay aided NOMA network with optimal power allocation. The network contains a source, which forwards the multiplexed signal to the NOMA users by employment of AF relay. The jammer node forwards the interference signal to secure the confidential information of users against the eavesdropper attack. Secrecy rate enhancement at the NOMA user with the aid of CJ under total power constraint is taken as an optimization problem. The optimal power allocation factors of considered network are investigated using Invasive-Weed-Optimization (IWO) algorithm. The physical layer security of the network is analyzed in terms of secrecy rate under CJ condition. Furthermore, the secure performance gap between fixed and proposed power allocation schemes are examined with CJ and compared with other jamming conditions. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the secrecy performance is enhanced remarkably by CJ and proposed-power-allocation outperforms the fixed-power-allocation.

Optimal power allocation‐based novel control jamming scheme for nonorthogonal multiple access enabled decode‐and‐forward relay network

V. Narasimha Nayak, Kiran Kumar Gurrala

Summary In this work, a new control jamming (CJ) scheme has been proposed for a cooperative nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network with optimal power allocation factors by employing decode‐and‐forward (DF) relay. Maximization of secrecy rate at both NOMA users with the aid of CJ under total transmit power constraint is considered as an optimization problem. In this regard, invasive weed optimization (IWO) algorithm‐based approach is proposed to facilitate optimal power allocation for the considered network. In this analysis, performance metric secrecy rate is analyzed with CJ at both NOMA users by varying the location of eavesdropper with respect to the relay and jammer. In addition, the performance of fixed power allocation (FPA) and proposed power allocation (PPA) schemes is investigated with CJ and compared with jamming (J) and without jamming (WJ) conditions. Simulation result analysis specifies that secrecy performance is enhanced remarkably by CJ and PPA outperforms the FPA.

SOP Minimization in Cooperative Relay-Based NOMA Network with Control Jammer

V. Narasimha Nayak, D.B.S. Rohan, D. Kumar Reddy +2 more

This paper presents a new control-jammer (CJ) strategy for improving the secrecy outage probability (SOP) in a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network with a decode-and-forward (DF) relay. The network configuration involves a source transmitting a composite signal to NOMA users with the assistance of a DF relay. In order to safeguard the users' confidential data from an eavesdropper (Eve), a jammer is deployed. The primary objective of the optimization problem is to minimize the SOP for the NOMA users in the presence of Eve. Under the CJ condition, this paper evaluates the network's physical layer security. Extensive analysis is conducted to compare the performance gap between CJ and other jamming conditions. Through comprehensive simulation results, this study showcases a substantial enhancement in secrecy performance achieved by the proposed CJ scheme at both users, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving the security of the DF relay aided NOMA network.

Securing Information Transmission in RIS-enabled NOMA Network Through Control Jamming

G. Greeshmesh, G. Niteesh Reddy, Y. Koushik +1 more

The goal of this paper is to examine the secrecy of a new control-jammer (CJ) aided RIS enabled NOMA network. Through RIS, a source transmits a combined signal to NOMA users in the considered system model. Additionally, a jamming node transmits interference signals to prevent eavesdropping on the confidential information of users. The major focus is to improve the secrecy rate of NOMA users through the use of a CJ. Further, this study examines the physical layer security, especially secrecy rates investigation under CJ conditions, and how they compare to other strategies. Additionally, this work analyzes the previously unexplored performance gap regarding security between CJ and other jamming methods. Based on simulation results, CJ significantly enhances the network's confidentiality, which makes it an excellent choice for protecting confidential data in NOMA networks aided by RIS. Finally, this work underscores CJ as a novel approach for safeguarding sensitive information in such networks.

Power allocation‐Assisted secrecy analysis for NOMA enabled cooperative network under multiple eavesdroppers

V. Narasimha Nayak, Kiran Kumar Gurrala

In this work, the secrecy of a typical wireless cooperative dual-hop non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-enabled decode-and-forward (DF) relay network is investigated with the impact of collaborative and non-collaborative eavesdropping. The system model consists of a source that broadcasts the multiplexed signal to two NOMA users via a DF relay, and information security against the eavesdropper nodes is provided by a helpful jammer. The performance metric is secrecy rate and ergodic secrecy capacity is approximated analytically. In addition, a differential evolution algorithm-based power allocation scheme is proposed to find the optimal power allocation factors for relay, jammer, and NOMA users by employing different jamming schemes. Furthermore, the secrecy rate analysis is validated at the NOMA users by adopting different jamming schemes such as without jamming (WJ) or conventional relaying, jamming (J), and with control jamming (CJ). Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of CJ over the J and WJ schemes. Finally, the proposed power allocation outperforms the fixed power allocation under all conditions considered in this work.

Improving Secrecy Rate in NOMA Network with Jamming Schmes

V. Narasimha Nayak, N. Pranathi, K. Veena Divya +1 more

This article explores the issue of physical layer security (PLS) through an analysis of a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) network using multiple jamming strategies. In this network, a source transmits multiplexed signals to NOMA users when Eve is present. A jammer node adds interference signals to prevent Eve from wiretapping the secret information of the NOMA users. By deploying a new control-jammer (CJ) strategy to this network, it is possible to maximize secrecy rate at both NOMA users while working under a total power constraint. The main focus of the proposed work is on evaluating the PLS analysis of the network in terms of secrecy rate, with particular attention to the CJ condition. Additionally, the study measures the security performance difference between CJ and other jamming methods. Notably, the simulation findings confirm that CJ is effective in boosting the security of the NOMA network compared with other jamming strategies.

Power Allocation for Secure NOMA Network Based on Q-Learning

Weidong Guo, Xinyan Wang

This paper investigates the secrecy performance of a multi-relay non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network. Considering the presence of eavesdroppers, an optimal relay selection scheme and a jamming signal transmission scheme for both amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF) strategies are proposed. However, the resource allocation problem aimed at maximizing the effective secure throughput (EST) of the system is non-convex. It is difficult to directly solve this optimization problem using conventional methods. As such, a Q-learning approach to solve the resource allocation problem in this system is applied, and an innovative reward function that can maximize the communication quality of edge users while ensuring secure communication of nearby users is designed. According to the analysis of the simulation results, the convergence of the proposed scheme is verified. Under the same conditions, DF relays achieve a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SINR) at the user terminal, and the EST is closely related to the transmission power of the source node and the relays. The numerical results also show that compared to conventional power allocation methods, the proposed method achieves a larger average EST and provides better confidentiality performance.
