On the complete basis of Pauli-allowed states of three-cluster systems in the Fock–Bargmann space

GENNADY F. FILIPPOV, I. Yu. Rybkin, S. V. Korennov +1 more

In the Fock–Bargmann space, the complete harmonic-oscillator basis for the three-cluster system is constructed. The indices of the reduction U(6)⊇U(2)×U(3) are chosen as the quantum numbers. The Pauli-forbidden states are eliminated by the orthogonal transformation of basis functions. The basis states are obtained in terms of hypergeometric functions and the spherical Wigner functions. Their simple form allows one to solve the problem of calculating the matrix elements of the microscopic Hamiltonian needed for the study of three-cluster systems within the algebraic version of RGM.

Structural properties and energetics of diffuse 87Rb clusters in three-dimension

Pankaj Kumar Debnath, Barnali Chakrabarti, Tapan Kumar Das +1 more

A correlated two-body basis function is used to describe the three-dimensional bosonic clusters interacting via two-body van der Waals potential. We calculate the ground state and the zero orbital angular momentum excited states for Rb(N) clusters with up to N = 40. We solve the many-particle Schrödinger equation by potential harmonics expansion method, which keeps all possible two-body correlations in the calculation and determines the lowest effective many-body potential. We study energetics and structural properties for such diffuse clusters both at dimer and tuned scattering length. The motivation of the present study is to investigate the possibility of formation of N-body clusters interacting through the van der Waals interaction. We also compare the system with the well studied He, Ne, and Ar clusters. We also calculate correlation properties and observe the generalised Tjon line for large cluster. We test the validity of the shape-independent potential in the calculation of the ground state energy of such diffuse cluster. These are the first such calculations reported for Rb clusters.

Solid-state multiple quantum NMR in quantum information processing: exactly solvable models

Edward B. Fel’dman, Alexey N. Pyrkov, Alexander Ivanovich Zenchuk

Multiple quantum (MQ) NMR is an effective tool for the generation of a large cluster of correlated particles, which, in turn, represent a basis for quantum information processing devices. Studying the available exactly solvable models clarifies many aspects of the quantum information. In this study, we consider two exactly solvable models in the MQ NMR experiment: (i) the isolated system of two spin-1/2 particles (dimers) and (ii) the large system of equivalent spin-1/2 particles in a nanopore. The former model is used to describe the quantum correlations and their relations with the MQ NMR coherences, whereas the latter helps one to model the creation and decay of large clusters of correlated particles.
