Thermal entanglement in Tavis–Cummings model with Kerr nonlinearity

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate entanglement between two two-level atoms when they simultaneously interact with a single-mode thermal field of a lossless cavity with Kerr medium. We show that a slight Kerr nonlinearity might enhance the degree of entanglement between the atoms. More interestingly, both atoms would somehow get entangled even when both atoms are initially in the excited state.

Thermal entanglement in Tavis-Cummings models with Kerr media

Eugene K. Bashkirov

In this paper, we investigated the entanglement dynamics between two dipole-coupled qubits not-resonantly interacting with a thermal one-mode field of lossless cavity with Kerr media. We obtained the exact solution for time-dependent density matrix and calculated on its basis the qubit-qubit entanglement parameter – negativity. The results show that Kerr nonlinearity greatly affected the entanglement behavior. More interestingly, that for initial entangled qubits states Kerr media avoids the entanglement sudden death effect.

Entanglement in Tavis-Cummings model with Kerr nonlinearity induced by a thermal noise

In this paper, we investigated the entanglement dynamics between two superconducting qubits interacting with a thermal one-mode field of lossless cavity with the Kerr media. We obtained the exact solution for time- dependent density matrix and calculated on its basis the qubi-qubit entanglement parameter-negativity. The results show that Kerr nonlinearity greatly affected the entanglement behaviour. More interestingly, that initial qubits coherence greatly enhances the degree of entanglement in the presence of the Kerr medium.

Entanglement in multi-photon Tavis - Cummings model induced by a thermal noise

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Башкиров Е. К

In this paper we have investigated the dynamics of entanglement of two natural or artificial two-level atoms interacting through multiphoton transitions with a thermal field of an lossless microwave cavity. On the basis of the exact solution of the model under consideration, the atom-atom entanglement parameter for various initial separable and entangled states of atoms are found. It is shown that the interaction of atoms with the thermal field of the cavity by means of multiphoton transitions can induce entanglement for all states except for the one in which both atoms are excited. It is also established that for the initial separable states of atoms the maximum degree of entanglement increases with the multiplicity of atomic transitions.

Atom-atom entanglement in a not-resonant two-photon Tavis-Cummings model

Maria O. Guslyannikova, Eugene K. Bashkirov

The entanglement between two two-level atoms (qubits) interacting not-resonantly with a one mode of thermal field in a lossless cavity via effective degenerate two-photon transitions is investigated. Based on the exact solution for the time-dependent density matrix of the system under consideration, negativity is calculated as a measure of the entanglement of atoms. The influence of a detuning on the dynamics of entanglement of atoms for separable and entangled initial atomic states and thermal cavity state is investigated.

Pure and Mixed State Entanglement Dynamics in Tavis-Cummings Model with Squeezed Coherent Thermal States

Koushik Mandal, Satyanarayana, M. V.

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of two atoms interacting with a single-mode cavity field within the Tavis-Cummings model in the presence of noise. The atoms are initially prepared in either pure Bell states or mixed Werner states, allowing a direct comparison of pure- and mixed-state entanglement. The cavity field is described by generalized single-mode squeezed coherent thermal states, incorporating both thermal and quantum noise effects. Atom-atom and atom-field entanglement are quantified using concurrence and negativity, respectively. We analyze entanglement sudden death and revival, and examine how Ising-type coupling, dipole-dipole interaction, Kerr nonlinearity, and detuning modify the entanglement dynamics. Our results show that thermal photons generally suppress entanglement and enhance sudden death, while squeezing counteracts these effects. The influence of nonlinearities and interatomic interactions depends sensitively on the purity of the initial atomic state, leading to qualitatively different behaviors for Bell and Werner states.

Entanglement between two qubits one of which interacts with a thermal field

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Michail S. Mastyugin

In this paper, we have investigated the entanglement between two dipole coupled two-level atoms. The model, in which only one atom is trapped in an lossless cavity and interacts with single-mode thermal field, and the other one can be spatially moved freely outside the cavity has been carried out. We have considered the effect of the atomic coherence on the entanglement behavior. We have shown that a thermal field might cause high entanglement between the atoms both for coherent and incoherent initial atomic states only for small values of the cavity mean photon number. In the considered model the atoms would get entangled even when both atoms are initially in the excited state. We have also derived that the degree of entanglement is weakly dependent on the strength of dipole-dipole interaction for coherent initial states.
