A simple entanglement measure for multipartite pure states

Abstract

A simple entanglement measure for multipartite pure states is formulated based on the partial entropy of a series of reduced density matrices. Use of the proposed new measure to distinguish disentangled, partially entangled, and maximally entangled multipartite pure states is illustrated. © 2004 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.

We present kth-order entanglement measure and global kth-order entanglement measure for multipartite pure states, and extend Bennett's measure of partial entropy for bipartite pure states to a multipartite case. These measures are computable and can effectively classify and quantify the entanglement of multipartite pure states.

Quantify Entanglement for Multipartite Quantum States

Zong‐Wen Yu, Su Hu, Chunlei Zhang

In this paper, we consider the problem of how to quantify entanglement for any multipartite quantum states. For bipartite pure states partial entropy is a good entanglement measure. By using partial entropy, we firstly introduce the Combinatorial Entropy of Fully entangled states (CEF) which can be used to quantify entanglement for any fully entangled pure states. In order to quantify entanglement for any multipartite states we also need another concept the Entanglement Combination (EC) which can be used to completely describe the entanglement between any parties of the given quantum states. Combining CEF with EC, we define the Combinatorial Entropy (CE) for any multipartite pure states and present some nice properties which indicate CE is a good entanglement measure. Finally, we point out the feasibility of extending these three concepts to mixed quantum states.

Maximally Entangled Multipartite States: A Brief Survey

Marco Enríquez, Iwona Wintrowicz, Karol Życzkowski

The problem of identifying maximally entangled quantum states of a composite quantum systems is analyzed. We review some states of multipartite systems distinguished with respect to certain measures of quantum entanglement. Numerical results obtained for 4-qubit pure states illustrate the fact that the notion of maximally entangled state depends on the measure used.

A Comparison of the Entanglement Measures for Multipartite Pure States

Cao Wan-Cang, Dan Liu, Bai Hong-bo

In this paper,a concise and alternative average entropy is introduced, which can be used to analyze entanglement of multipartite pure states.By comparing with the average von Neumann entropy established previously, the results show that the entanglement of multipartite pure states can also be measured in this new scheme.

Entanglement measure for general pure multipartite quantum states

We propose an explicit formula for an entanglement measure of pure multipartite quantum states, then study a general pure tripartite state in detail, and at end we give some simple but illustrative examples on four-qubits and m-qubits states.

Recent Progress on Entanglement of Multipartite Pure States

Recent research progress on quantifying and classifying entanglement for a given multipartite pure state is summarized.A new measure for the entanglement is defined, which can be used to distinguish entanglement properties pure states from one another, and quantify the measure of the entanglement for multipartite pure states.
