Entanglement Swapping: Entangling Atoms That Never Interacted

Abstract

In this paper we discuss four different proposals of entangling atomic states of particles which have never interacted. The experimental realization proposed makes use of the interaction of Rydberg atoms with a micromaser cavity prepared in either a coherent state or in a superposition of the zero and one field Fock states. We consider atoms in either a three-level cascade or lambda configuration

In this paper we discuss four different proposals of entangling atomic states of particles which have never interacted. The experimental realization proposed makes use of the interaction of Rydberg atoms with a micromaser cavity prepared in either a coherent state or in a superposition of the field Fock states |0⟩ and |1⟩. We consider atoms in either a three-level cascade or lambda configuration.

A New Scheme of Entanglement Swapping and Disentanglement

Tang-Kun Liu, Ji‐Suo Wang, Jian Feng +1 more

We consider three two-level atoms (A, B, and C) initially in the W entanglement state, then one of them, C, is injected into a high-Q cavity to make resonant interaction to entangle with the other two atoms A and B that are far away from the cavity. The entanglement swapping or disentanglement can be realized by carrying out measurements on C and selecting appropriate interaction time of C with the coherent field.

Entanglement Swapping and Disentanglement via an Entangled State of Atoms Interacting with a Cavity Field

Tang-Kun Liu, Ji‐Suo Wang, Jian Feng +1 more

We consider entanglement swapping and disentanglement schemes via an entangled state of three two-level atoms interacting with a coherent field. When a two-level atom C , entangled with two other two-level atoms A and B , is injected into a high-Q cavity and atoms A and B are far away from the cavity, the entanglement swapping or disentanglement can be realized by carrying out the measurement on the atom C and by selecting an appropriate interaction time of atom C with the coherent field.

Realization of Entanglement Swapping in Cavity QED

Jun Li

We propose an entanglement swapping scheme in cavity QED.The different degree entanglement between atoms that never directly interacted can be realized, the unknown entanglement state can be transferred on atoms that never directly interacted. In the scheme, the previously used joint measurement is not needed.Only single measurement on atom is needed in realizing the swapping process.During the interaction between atom and cavity, the cavity is only virtually excited and thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay.

Teleportation of atomic states via cavity QED for a cavity prepared in a superposition of zero and one Fock states

E. S. Guerra

In this article we discuss two schemes for the teleportation of atomic states. In the first scheme we consider atoms in a three-level cascade configuration and in the second scheme we consider atoms in a three-level lambda configuration. The proposed experimental realization makes use of cavity quantum electrodynamics involving the interaction of Rydberg atoms with a micromaser cavity prepared in a state .
