Fuzzy Quantum Control

D. V. Chernyshev

The article presents a method of fuzzy quantum control and the structure of a fuzzy quantum controller. The authors suggest a method to represent the membership function of fuzzy variables as quantum values. A fuzzy quantum controller calculates the parameters for the optimum control of a quantum system on the basis of dynamic programming. The control task is the transfer of the system from its initial state into a required final state with a set merit functional. At the setting of the fuzzy quantum controller the authors use expert data. The input variable is transformed into fuzzy values and the membership functions are created. The membership functions are represented as quantum values. Further, the controlled system equation is derived. The authors set up a merit functional for optimal regulation and apply the optimal control method. The authors present a circuit to connect the fuzzy quantum controller to a control system.

Partial feedback control of quantum systems using probabilistic fuzzy estimator

Chunlin Chen, Gerasimos G. Rigatos, Daoyi Dong +1 more

A partial feedback control scheme with a probabilistic fuzzy estimator (PFE) is presented for the robust control of quantum systems. In this scheme, a probabilistic fuzzy simulator is trained to estimate the quantum states for feedback control of quantum systems. Usually, the estimated state is fed back to design a controller. However, when the estimated quantum state is an almost-eigenstate, a projective measurement will be triggered for the quantum system and the measurement results will be fed back to construct the controller and regulate the fuzzy estimator. This scheme is a partial feedback strategy with controlled discontinuous measurement, where the quantum measurement serves as a control tool and is helpful for driving the quantum system to a desired state tracking even in the presence of unknown disturbances and stochastic noises. An example of a two-spin-¿ system is also presented to demonstrate the proposed approach.
