The Evolution of Computational Paradigms: Quantum, Classical, and Hybrid Approaches

Harshith Chemudugunta, Chahel Paatur

This academic investigation looks at how computational paradigms are changing and compares classical, quantum, and hybrid computing techniques for machine learning problems. This study shows how various computing approaches interact in subtle ways through thorough benchmarking across several performance dimensions. While classical models continue to have clear advantages in terms of execution speed and ease of implementation, the results show that hybrid approaches routinely outperform both classical and pure quantum methods in accuracy metrics. With a data-driven basis for strategic decision-making in the selection of computational methodologies, this analysis offers academics and practitioners important insights for navigating the quickly changing computational landscape.

Exploring the Evolution and Impact of Quantum Computing: Paradigms, Performance, and Future Applications

Ahmed Abdullah Faisal Ghaleb, Ahmed Abdullah Alsukhailah, Amir Reza Delsouz Bahri +4 more

The rapid growth of computational technology has given rise to new paradigms that aim to redefine the limits of traditional computing. Of these, quantum computing is a paradigm change that applies to the principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, to compute at much higher rates than classical computing is capable of. This paper covers the evolution of computing paradigms, focusing on quantum computing. It examines critically the principles, paradigm of programming and performance elements that differentiate quantum computing from mainstream computing. It also investigates scalability challenges and technologies that are advancing quantum computing technology. The work further investigates disruptive applications of quantum computing in key industries like artificial intelligence, cryptography, medicine modeling, and financial modeling. Despite current constraints in terms of hardware limitations and error correction, the potential for quantum computing is vast in redesigning problem-solving approaches across industries. This consideration emphasizes the need for continued research and development to tap into the full potential of quantum computing in solving complex computational problems.

Quantum Computing: The Next Big Paradigm

Robert Ciesla

As well established and world changing as the digital revolution has been, its days are numbered. The never-ending march of scientific progress will deliver us a new paradigm in the very near future: quantum computing. Its applications, while at first purely theoretical, will eventually cover many aspects of our lives: communications, medicine, security, and even world politics. In this chapter we'll take a glance at some of the ramifications of quantum computing before moving into specifics with the chapters to follow.
