Abstract

In present days the technology of cloud computing is very useful. Cloud computing usage has been increased very fast in most of the organizations. Security is a very sensitive aspect in the environment of cloud computing because most sensitive data or information is saved in the cloud by the user. To maintain the information and applications it uses central remote servers or internet as well. Without any installation using the cloud communication the end users can use these applications. By using the cloud computing environments and is actual very flexible but many of the question arises that how can we gain an environment which is trusted or how our data or applications are safe and sound by the intruders and hackers. Problems in cloud are that, the data isn’t more secure in cloud and could be hacked by any third party. Moreover, other threats are such as data loss, user’s data theft or privacy issues. This paper surveys the new cryptographic area or environment which is safer or trusted using the quantum mechanism.

Cloud Computing Cryptography "State-Of-The-Art"

Omer K. Jasim Mohammad, Safia Abbas, El-Sayed M. El-Horbaty +1 more

Cloud computing technology is very useful in present day to day life, it uses the internet and the central remote servers to provide and maintain data as well as applications. Such applications in turn can be used by the end users via the cloud communications without any installation. Moreover, the end users’ data files can be accessed and manipulated from any other computer using the internet services. Despite the flexibility of data and application accessing and usage that cloud computing environments provide, there are many questions still coming up on how to gain a trusted environment that protect data and applications in clouds from hackers and intruders. This paper surveys the “keys generation and management” mechanism and encryption/decryption algorithms used in cloud computing environments, we proposed new security architecture for cloud computing environment that considers the various security gaps as much as possible. A new cryptographic environment that implements quantum mechanics in order to gain more trusted with less computation cloud communications is given.

Cryptographic Cloud Computing Environment as a More Trusted Communication Environment

Omer K. Jasim Mohammad, Safia Abbas, El-Sayed M. El-Horbaty +1 more

Cloud Communication Environment is an internet-based computing, where shared resources, software, and information are provided with computers and devices on-demand. They guarantee a way to share distributed resources and services that belong to different organizations. In order to develop cloud computing applications, security and trust to share data through distributed resources must be assured. This paper offers a study of the different mechanisms used in open cloud environments such as keys generation and management, and encryption/decryption algorithms. In addition, the paper proposes a new cryptographic environment, annotated as “CCCE” that deploys the combination between quantum key distribution mechanisms (QKD) and advanced encryption standard (AES), and demonstrates how quantum mechanics can be applied to improve computation.

Securing Cloud Computing Environment using a New Trend of Cryptography

Omer K. Jasim Mohammad, Safia Abbas, El-Sayed M. El-Horbaty +1 more

Cloud computing is an internet-based computing, where shared resources, software, and information are provided with consumers on-demand. They guarantee a way to share distributed resources and services that belong to different organizations. In order to build secure cloud environment, data security and cryptography must be assured to share data through distributed environment. So, this paper provides more flexibility and secured communication environment by deploying a new cryptographic service. This service entails both Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and enhanced version of Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Moreover, this service solves the key distribution and key management problems in cloud environment which emerged through the two implemented modes, on-line and off-line modes.

Cloud Computing Security Threat with Quantum Key Distribution Defense Model

Roszelinda Khalid, Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain

Cloud computing offer the cost-effective and flexibility to the user. However, the security threat is a main concern for user to place their data in the cloud. Data that stored and shares through cloud have to be confidential and restricted. Information leakage, men in the middle attack are the two main issues that make information stored in the cloud insecure. Widely authentication method used is the classical approach like Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This approach is workable in order to provide a secure environment within the cloud clients. The existing of Certificate Authority that act as controller they can verify the legal user. However, in certain circumstances, this approach cannot solve the issue such as stealing the identity. In this paper we are proposing a model that use quantum mechanical theory. This theory is supporting the no cloning theory. It used the power of light and a single photon to provide an authentication key. Throughout this paper, we also do a literature on various security threats, and authentication method in cloud. Then, we are introducing a quantum defense model as a solution of the listed threats. We proposed new cloud authentication architecture for cloud computing environment. A new cloud authentication environment that implements quantum mechanics is proven that can gain more trust with less time of computation in cloud communications.
