Abstract

This paper proposes a new identity based tripartite key agreement protocol which is more efficient than the existing ID-based tripartite protocol. This protocol is based on the Joux's protocol for key agreement, and introduces signature along with key agreement to overcome man-in-the-middle attacks and to provide authentication. The new protocol resists existential forgeries against adaptively chosen message attacks under the random oracle model.

A new method based on certificateless authenticated key agreement protocols

Jun Ma

The tripartite key agreement protocol that Joux has proposed is more efficient and simple, but it is vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attack.A new method based on certificateless authenticated key agreement protocols is proposed, which extends tripartite key agreement to multi-party accompanied by its authentication function. It has a lot of advantages, such as a short signature, high calculation efficiency, simple management about certificate and escrow-free anonymous key.The new method enjoys much secure prosperity, for instance, which has a non-key control and forward security, resists man-in-themiddle and leaked disguise attack, and so on.

An Efficient Tripartite Identity-Based Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol

Xiaotong Fu, Shufang Guo, Ruijun Shi

In this paper, the tripartite identity-based key agreement is investigated. Inspired by designated verifier signature schemes, a tripartite identity-based key agreement protocol with explicit authentication is proposed with the good authentication of signatures. The new protocol can achieve remarkable security properties, such as perfect forward secrecy and unknown key share. More theoretically, the security proving of the protocol is given in the random oracle model under the Bilinear Diffie-Hellman assumption. The efficiency of the protocol is lying on that three parties can establish an agreed session key after only one round of message exchange. Detailed efficiency analysis compared with other protocols is also made.

A New Authenticated Tripartite Key Agreement Protocol

Cao Pan, Hui Ding, Hongyuan Wang

The existing authenticated tripartitie key agreement protocols mostly employ bilinear pairings, with low computation efficiency, not suitable for wireless network. A new authenticated tripartite key agreement protocol is proposed in this thesis, employing exponentiation and hash function and displaying a higher computation efficiency. Security of the proposed protocol has been verified through a reliable means. Security analysis shows that the protocol can resist many familiar attacks including man-in-the-middle attacks, unknown key-share attacks and key-compromise impersonation attacks, and it is secure and effective.

An Improved One-Round ID-Based Tripartite Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol.

Meng-Hui Lim, Sang-Gon Lee

Abstract. A tripartite authenticated key agreement protocol is generally designed to accommodate the need of three speci c entities in communicating over an open network with a shared secret key, which is used to preserve con dentiality and data integrity. Since Joux initiates the development of tripartite key agreement protocol, many prominent tripartite schemes have been proposed subsequently. In 2005, Tso et al. have proposed an ID-based non-interactive tripartite key agreement scheme with k-resilience. Based on this scheme, they have further proposed another one-round tripartite application scheme. Although they claimed that both schemes are e cient and secure, we discover that both schemes are in fact breakable. In this paper, we impose several impersonation attacks on Tso et al.s schemes in order to highlight their aws. Subsequently, we propose an enhanced scheme which will not only conquer their defects, but also preserve the desired security attributes of a key agreement protocol. 1

Utilizing postponed ephemeral and pseudo-static keys in tripartite and identity-based key agreement protocols

Atsushi Fujioka, Koutarou Suzuki, Berkant Ustaoğlu

We propose an new one-round implicitly authenticated three-party protocol that extends Joux's protocol as well as a two-party identity-based protocol. Our protocols have a single communication round that consists of ephemeral (one-time) public keys along with certificates in the tripartite protocol, and identities in the identity-based setting. As such our protocols are communication efficient and furthermore do not require enhanced message format.

New secure explicitly authenticated key agreement protocols

Y. Abouelseoud & M. Nabil

The first efficient tripartite key agreement protocol was developed by Joux (2000). It is a oneround key agreement protocol based on bilinear maps. Tripartite key agreement protocols are useful in e-commerce transactions and in auditing services. However, this scheme does not authenticate the identities of the participants, just like the Diffie-Hellman protocol.
