Experimental verification of multipartite entanglement in quantum networks

Will McCutcheon, Anna Pappa, Bryn A. Bell +9 more

Multipartite entangled states are a fundamental resource for a wide range of quantum information processing tasks. In particular, in quantum networks, it is essential for the parties involved to be able to verify if entanglement is present before they carry out a given distributed task. Here we design and experimentally demonstrate a protocol that allows any party in a network to check if a source is distributing a genuinely multipartite entangled state, even in the presence of untrusted parties. The protocol remains secure against dishonest behaviour of the source and other parties, including the use of system imperfections to their advantage. We demonstrate the verification protocol in a three- and four-party setting using polarization-entangled photons, highlighting its potential for realistic photonic quantum communication and networking applications.

Secure Distribution of Electronic Documents over Network in Quantum Information Management Systems

Cumali Yaşar, İhsan Yılmaz

The aim of this study is related to the flow of electronic documents through quantum networks, signing with quantum digital signature, security of documents, verification and denial of basic principles of work flow processes on quantum networks. In our study; The process of transmission of electronic documents is to propose a model for the distribution of quantum keys. In this model proposal, production of electronic documents, signing of electronic documents with quantum digital signature, making electronic correspondence package, determination of the way the electronic correspondence package will follow during the access to the target user, defining the movements of the electronic document on the secure networks during the road is defined within the framework of quantum information principles.

Efficient Verification of Pure Quantum States in the Adversarial Scenario

Huangjun Zhu, Masahito Hayashi

Efficient verification of pure quantum states in the adversarial scenario is crucial to many applications in quantum information processing, such as blind measurement-based quantum computation and quantum networks. However, little is known about this topic so far. Here, we establish a general framework for verifying pure quantum states in the adversarial scenario and clarify the resource cost. Moreover, we propose a simple and general recipe to constructing efficient verification protocols for the adversarial scenario from protocols for the nonadversarial scenario. With this recipe, arbitrary pure states can be verified in the adversarial scenario with almost the same efficiency as in the nonadversarial scenario. Many important quantum states can be verified in the adversarial scenario using local projective measurements with unprecedented high efficiencies.
