Abstract

The radial Schrödinger equation was solved with the combination of three important potentials with [Formula: see text] as deformed parameter via the parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method and the energy equation as well as the corresponding normalized radial wave function were obtained in close and compact form. The energy equation obtained was used to study eight molecules. The effect of the deformed parameter on energy eigenvalues was also studied numerically. The subset of the combined potential was also studied numerically and the results were found to be in agreement with the previous results. To extend the application of our work, the wave function obtained was used to calculate some theoretic quantities such as the Tsallis entropy, Rényi entropy and information energy. By putting the Tsallis index to 2, we deduced the information energy from Tsallis entropy. Finally, the effect of the deformed parameter and screening parameter, respectively, on the theoretic quantities were also studied.

Approximate eigensolutions of the attractive potential via parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method

C. A. Onate, Olukayode Adebimpe, Adewale Folaranmi Lukman +3 more

The approximate analytical solutions of the non-relativistic Schrӧdinger equation for the Attractive potential model with the centrifugal term are investigated using the elegant methodology of the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov. The energy equation and the corresponding un-normalized radial wave functions are obtained in a close and compact form after a proper Greene-Aldrich approximation scheme is applied. By changing the numerical values of some potential strengths, special cases of the Attractive potential are investigated in detail. The effects of the potential strengths and potential range respectively on the energy are also studied. The energy is found to be very sensitive to each of the potential parameters. Some theoretic quantities such as information energy, Rẻnyi entropy and Tsallis entropy.

Analytical determination of theoretic quantities for multiple potential

C. A. Onate, M. C. Onyeaju, Abimbola Abolarinwa +1 more

The approximate analytical solutions of the three-dimensional radial Schrödinger wave equation with a multiple potential function has been studied using a suitable approximation scheme to the centrifugal term in the framework of parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy equation and the wave function were obtained. The calculated wave function was used to study Shannon entropy and variance via expectation values. The behaviour of Shannon entropy and variance respectively with the equilibrium bond length were examined in detail. A special case of the multiple potential (pseudoharmonic-like potential) was equally examined under Shannon entropy and variance. For further application of the study, some diatomic molecules were examined under variance and Shannon entropy. Finally, some variance inequalities were derived using Cramer-Rao uncertainty relation and these were justified by numerical results.

Eigensolutions and quantum fisher information for different potential models

C. A. Onate, I. B. Okon, E. Omugbe +4 more

The solutions of two potentials with one potential made up of a combination of constant, Yukawa, and inversely quadratic potentials and the other made up of constant, Coulomb, and inversely quadratic potentials are obtained under the radial Schrödinger equation using the elegant parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method. The energy equations and their corresponding wave functions are obtained in a close and compact form. The Fisher information for configuration space and momentum space are obtained for each combination of the potentials. It has been revealed that the energy eigenvalues of each combined potential model has a turning point. It is also shown that one special case in one combined potentials and another special case in the other combined potentials have equivalent energy eigenvalues. The results for the constant potential as a subset potential in each combination are not exactly the same. The Fisher information for each combined potentials and their respective subset potentials satisfied Fisher information-based uncertainty relation. It is also shown that the effect of the screening parameter on the Fisher information at the ground state and at the first excited state for one of the combining potential has a diffused format.

Information-theoretic measure of the hyperbolical exponential-type potential

C. A. Onate, Olukayode Adebimpe, Babatunde Olufemi Adebesin +1 more

The approximate analytical solution of the 3-dimensional radial Schrödinger equation in the framework of the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method was obtained with a hyperbolical exponential-type potential. The energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding wave function have been obtained explicitly. Using the integral method, we calculated Shannon entropy, information energy, Fisher information, and complexity measure. It was deduced that the complexity measure calculated using Shannon entropy with information energy and that calculated using Shannon entropy with Fisher information were similar.

Effect of the deformation parameter on the nonrelativistic energy spectra of the q-deformed Hulthen-quadratic exponential-type potential

P. O. Ushie, Ofem Egbe Ubi, Collins Okon Edet +1 more

In this study, an approximate solution of the Schrödinger equation for the q-deformed Hulthen-quadratic exponential-type potential model within the framework of the Nikiforov–Uvarov method was obtained. The bound state energy equation and the corresponding eigenfunction was obtained. The energy spectrum is applied to study H2, HCl, CO and LiH diatomic molecules. The effect of the deformation parameters and other potential parameters on the energy spectra of the system were graphically and numerically analyzed in detail. Special cases were considered when the potential parameters were altered, resulting in deformed Hulthen potential, Hulthen potential, deformed quadratic exponential-type potential and quadratic exponential-type potential. The energy eigenvalues expressions agreed with what obtained in literature. Finally, the results can find many applications in quantum chemistry, atomic and molecular physics.

ANALYTICAL SOLUTION OF SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION IN BISPHERICAL COORDINATE FOR MOBIUS SQUARE PLUS MODIFIED YUKAWA POTENTIAL USING NIKIFOROV UVAROV FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS (NUFA) METHOD WITH ITS THERMODYNAMICS PROPERTIES FOR DIATOMIC MOLECULES

Briant Sabathino Harya Wibawa, Suparmi Suparmi, C. Cari

Background: The analytical solution of the Schrödinger equation in bispherical coordinates has attracted a great deal of interest for theoretical physics researchers in the branch of quantum physics. The energy and wave function are solutions of the Schrödinger equation which are very important because it contains all necessary information regarding the behavior of quantum systems. Aim: This study aimed to obtain energy, radial wave functions and thermodynamic properties for diatomic molecules from the radial part of the Schrödinger equation in bispherical coordinates for the modified Mobius square plus Yukawa potential using the Nikiforov Uvarov Functional Analysis (NUFA) method. Methods: The variable separation method was applied to reduce the Schrodinger equation in bispherical coordinates to the radial part and angular part Schrodinger equation. The Schrodinger equation of the radial part in bispherical coordinates was solved using the Nikiforov Uvarov Functional Analysis (NUFA) method to obtain the energy equation and radial wave function. Furthermore, the vibrational partition function 𝑍 was obtained from the energy equation. The vibrational mean energy 𝑈, vibrational specific heat 𝐶, vibrational free energy 𝐹, and vibrational entropy 𝑆 were obtained from the vibrational partition function 𝑍. Results and Discussion: The results showed that the increase of parameters of 𝑛 and 𝛼 caused the decrease of energy, but the increase of parameters of 𝐿 and 𝑚0 caused the increase of energy. The radial quantum number 𝑛 and the potential range 𝛼 had the most effect to the wave functions. The parameters 𝑛𝑚𝑎𝑥, 𝑇, and 𝛼 had effect to the vibrational partition function 𝑍, vibrational mean energy 𝑈, vibrational specific heat 𝐶, vibrational free energy 𝐹, and vibrational entropy 𝑆. Conclusions: From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the energy, radial wave function, and thermodynamic properties for diatomic molecules have been obtained using the Nikiforov Uvarov Functional Analysis (NUFA) method.
