Application of the Iteration-Variation Method in Quantum Mechanics

Xie Chang-zhen

There is some limitation using the perturbation method to slove the perturbation problem in quantum mechanics. In this paper, by using iteration and variation method, the perturbation problem in quantum mechanics will be sloved. The approximation values of base energy and wave function are obtained. Moreover, the approximation values of n-level energy E-n and the corresponding wave functions {Ψ-n} are also given.

Approximate Methods

Nandita Rudra

In quantum mechanics as in classical mechanics, there are a relatively few physical problems that can be solved exactly. Thus one has to take recourse to approximate methods. We start with semi-classical approximation in the next section.
