Abstract

In this paper, we use the q-derivative emerging in the non-extensive statistical physics to formulate the q-deformed quantum mechanics. We find the algebraic structure related to this deformed theory and investigate some properties of the q-deformed elementary functions. Using this mathematical background, we formulate the q-deformed Heisenberg algebra and q-deformed time-dependent Schrödinger equation. As an example, we deal with the infinite potential well and compute the Fermi energy in the q-deformed theory.

Bohmian mechanics and Fisher information for $q$-deformed Schrödinger equation

Bruno G. da Costa, Ignacio S. Gomez

We discuss the Bohmian mechanics by means of the deformed Schrödinger equation for position dependent mass, in the context of a $q$-algebra inspired by nonextensive statistics. A deduction of the Bohmian quantum formalism is performed by means of a deformed Fisher information functional, from which a deformed Cramér-Rao bound is derived. Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations, inherited by the $q$-algebra, are also developed. Then, we illustrate the results with a particle confined in an infinite square potential well. The preservation of the deformed Cramér-Rao bound for the stationary states shows the role played by the $q$-algebraic structure.

q‐Deformed Quantum Mechanics Based on the q‐Addition

Won Sang Chung, HASSAN HASSANABADI

Abstract In this paper we consider the q‐derivative appearing in the non‐extensive thermodynamics to formulate the q‐deformed quantum mechanics. From the q‐addition we discuss the q‐deformed calculus and q‐deformed elementary functions. We use these to construct the q‐deformed quantum mechanics. As examples we discuss momentum eigenfunction, one dimensional box problem and quantum harmonic potential problem.

Perturbative Aspects of q-Deformed Dynamics

J.-z. Zhang, P. Osland

Within the framework of the q-deformed Heisenberg algebra a dynamical equation of q-deformed quantum mechanics is discussed. The perturbative aspects of the q-deformed Schr\\"odinger equation are analyzed. General representations of the additional momentum-dependent interaction originating from the q-deformed effects are presented in two approaches. As examples, such additional interactions related to the harmonic-oscillator potential and the Morse potential are demonstrated.

Non-relativistic Schroedinger theory on q-deformed quantum spaces I, Mathematical framework and equations of motion

Hartmut Wachter

The aim of these three papers (I, II, and III) is to develop a q-deformed version of non-relativistic Schroedinger theory. Paper I introduces the fundamental mathematical and physical concepts. The braided line and the three-dimensional q-deformed Euclidean space play the role of position space. For both cases the algebraic framework is extended by a time element. A short review of the elements of q-deformed analysis on the spaces under consideration is given. The time evolution operator is introduced in a consistent way and its basic properties are discussed. These reasonings are continued by proposing q-deformed analogs of the Schroedinger and the Heisenberg picture.

q-Deformed Statistics from Position-Dependent Mass Schrödinger Equationa

Jesús Morales Rivas, José Juan Peña Gil, Jesús García‐Ravelo

An algebraic approach is used to obtain the canonical form of the position-dependent mass Schrödinger equation from where a couple of canonical quantum variables, the q-deformed operators for the position xq, and the hermitian linear momentum operator pq are derived. In this q-deformed coordinate space, the commutator remains invariant namely [xq, pq] = iħ. By taking advantage of these q-deformed variables, one gets to a q-deformed exponential function expq(x) as well as its corresponding q-deformed logarithm function lnq(x). From these q-deformed mathematical relations and from the fact that thermodynamic properties such as the internal energy U, entropy S, free energy F, heat capacity C, and others are related to the partition function Z and ln(Z), it is proposed their generalizations in terms of the q-deformed exponential and q-deformed logarithmic functions. As a result, the structure of Legendre transformations between these statistical properties remains invariant. The usefulness of the proposal is exemplified by considering two specific position-dependent mass distributions. In the same way, other possibilities could be used to generalize the statistical properties straightforwardly.

q-Deformed quantum mechanics related to the Tamm-Dancoff oscillator algebra and some physical applications

Won Sang Chung, Abdullah Algin

Abstract In this paper, we consider a system of the q-deformed bosonic Tamm-Dancoff oscillators, whose spectrum has some exponential cutoff factors at high energies. We first investigate the q-calculus in the Tamm-Dancoff (TD) boson algebra, and within this framework, the q-derivative, q-integral and q-exponential function are introduced. Using these properties, we construct a new formalism for the q-deformed quantum mechanics, which accordingly involve the q-adjoint operator and the q-Hermitian operator properties. We then derive the q-deformed Heisenberg relation, and develop the q-Hermitian momentum operator. The q-deformed Schrödinger equation is introduced, and as applications, we study the momentum eigenfunction and one-dimensional box problem. Another application of the TD type deformation onto lattice oscillations is also discussed through a model of the q-deformed Debye solid. Finally, other potential applications of the TD-oscillators gas model are concisely pointed out.
