The lifetime of the $^{3}P_{1}$ state of Sr has been measured by observing the intensity of the $5{s}^{2}^{1}S_{0}\ensuremath{\leftrightarrow}5s5p^{3}P_{1}$ fluorescence as a function of time, following the excitation of the $^{3}P_{1}$ state by a 1-\ensuremath{\mu}sec pulse from a flashlamppumped dye laser. The measured value of the $^{3}P_{1}$ lifetime is 21 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 1 \ensuremath{\mu}sec.

The lifetime of the 3P1^{3}P_{1}3P1 state of Sr has been measured by observing the intensity of the $5{s}^{2}^{1}S_{0}\ensuremath{\leftrightarrow}5s5p^{3}P_{1}$ fluorescence as a function of time, following the excitation of the 3P1^{3}P_{1}3P1 state by a 1-\ensuremath{\mu}sec pulse from a flashlamppumped dye laser. The measured value of the 3P1^{3}P_{1}3P1 lifetime is 21 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 1 \ensuremath{\mu}sec.
