the purpose of this paper is to promote a butterfly quantum network coding scheme for remote state preparation of multi-qudit states. Firstly, we perform channel preparation and amplitude modulation; secondly, each sender simultaneously performs projection measurement; thirdly, both senders send measurement results as precoding information and auxiliary information to the intermediate node and the neighboring receivers respectively; fourthly, the first intermediate node performs encoding operation and sends the encoded information to both receivers via next intermediate node. Finally, by decoding the coded information with auxiliary information, two receivers perform corresponding unitary operations to recover the target multi-qudit quantum states. Compared with other schemes, our scheme can enhance the throughput and transmission efficiency of communication network for remote state preparation of multi-qudit states.

As a specific example of network coding, the butterfly network often represents the networks with bottlenecks. In this paper, we propose a typical butterfly quantum network coding scheme based on remote state preparation of arbitrary two-qubit states with the assistance of GHZ channels. Firstly, in a butterfly network, each source node simultaneously performs two appropriate projective measurements under suitable measurement basis on their own qubits. Next, their measurement results would be distributed to mid-side nodes. In the following, midside nodes perform encoded operations and send their encoded information to destination nodes. Finally, two destination nodes obtain the target state according to all information they receive with the success probability 1.
Abstract We propose a scheme where one can exploit auxiliary resources to achieve quantum multicast communication with network coding over the butterfly network. In this paper, we propose the quantum 2-pair multicast communication scheme, and extend it to k-pair multicast communication over the extended butterfly network. Firstly, an EPR pair is shared between each adjacent node on the butterfly network, and make use of local operation and classical communication to generate entangled relationship between non-adjacent nodes. Secondly, each sender adds auxiliary particles according to the multicast number k, in which the CNOT operations are applied to form the multi-particle entangled state. Finally, combined with network coding and free classical communication, quantum multicast communication based on quantum measurements is completed over the extended butterfly network. Not only the bottleneck problem is solved, but also quantum multicast communication can be completed in our scheme. At the same time, regardless of multicast number k, the maximum capacity of classical channel is 2 bits, and quantum channel is used only once.
As an innovative theory and technology, quantum network coding has become the research hotspot in quantum network communications. In this paper, a quantum remote state preparation scheme based on quantum network coding is proposed. Comparing with the general quantum remote state preparation schemes, our proposed scheme brings an arbitrary unknown quantum state finally prepared remotely through the quantum network, by designing the appropriate encoding and decoding steps for quantum network coding. What is worth mentioning, from the network model, this scheme is built on the quantum k-pair network which is the expansion of the typical bottleneck network—butterfly network. Accordingly, it can be treated as an efficient quantum network preparation scheme due to the characteristics of network coding, and it also makes the proposed scheme more applicable to the large-scale quantum networks. In addition, the fact of an arbitrary unknown quantum state remotely prepared means that the senders do not need to know the desired quantum state. Thus, the security of the proposed scheme is higher. Moreover, this scheme can always achieve the success probability of 1 and 1-max flow of value k. Thus, the communication efficiency of the proposed scheme is higher. Therefore, the proposed scheme turns out to be practicable, secure and efficient, which helps to effectively enrich the theory of quantum remote state preparation.
Quantum network coding can effectively improve the aggregate throughput of quantum networks and alleviate bottlenecks caused by topological constraints. Most of previous schemes are dedicated to the efficient teleportation of unknown quantum states in a quantum network. Herein a proposal for transmission of deterministic known states over quantum repeater network based on quantum measurements. We show that the new protocol offers advantages over three aspects. Firstly, the senders in our protocol obtain the knowledge of the quantum state to be transmitted, which enables the autonomy of quantum network transmission. Secondly, we study the quantum repeater network coding for long-distance deterministic quantum state communication. Quantum repeater network initialization requires entanglement distribution only among neighboring nodes, greatly saving entanglement resources, channel overhead and storage costs. Thirdly, based on Pauli measurements and local complementation, new protocol realizes parallel coding operations to mitigate latency issues sufficiently. Combining quantum network coding and quantum remote state preparation technology, our protocol provides an important solution for deterministic known states transmission over large-scale quantum network in the future.
We propose two protocols for joint, multi-party remote preparation of qudit states by using a d-level six-qudit Cluster state as the quantum channel. The first protocol is used for the joint remote preparation of an arbitrary two-qudit state via the d-level six-qudit Cluster state. The second is used for bi-directional joint remote preparation of an arbitrary single-qudit state via a d-level six-qudit Cluster state. All senders share information about the prepared state. The first sender applies Positive Operator-Valued Measurement (POVM) on her entangled particles in accordance with her information about the prepared state, while the second sender performs projective measurements in accordance with the information about the prepared state and the first sender’s measurement results. The receiver can prepare the original state by performing a corresponding unitary operation according to the measurement results from all the senders. These two protocols have the advantage of being able to provide a high channel capacity by using a d-level Cluster state as the quantum channel.
In a quantum network, it often occurs that there are many remote nodes which should collaborate with each to perform unitary operations. Most of the time, it can be addressed by bi-direction quantum teleportation. However, it often consumes too much quantum resources. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme for implementation of remote control of some restricted sets of multi-qudit unitary operation. Alice (controller) prepares one cat-like-state by CONT operation and sends them to the remote Bobs (BobbBob2) by sharing Bell channels respectively. Then Bobs perform a series of local operations with cat-like-state's control. By comparing with the previous work, our scheme generalizes it from one controller and one target to one controller and two targets. Our scheme does not only save the working time, but also reduces the quantum communication resources. Moreover, we also give its quantum circuit, which could lead us to a better and clearer understanding. Finally, we generalize our scheme to the case of rf-dimensional qudits.
