Abstract

We numerically investigate the thermal entanglements of spins (1/2, 1) and spins (1/2, 1/2) in the three-mixed (1/2, 1, 1/2) anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ spin system on a simple triangular cell under an inhomogeneous magnetic field. We show that the external magnetic field induces strong plateau formation in the pairwise thermal entanglement for fixed parameters of the Hamiltonian in the cases of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions. We also observe an unexpected critical point at finite temperature in the thermal entanglement of spins (1/2, 1) for the antiferromagnetic case, while the entanglement of spins (1/2, 1) in the ferromagnetic case and the entanglement of spins (1/2, 1/2) in both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic cases almost decay exponentially to zero with increasing temperature. The critical point in the entanglement of spins (1/2, 1) in the antiferromagnetic case may be a signature of the quantum phase transition at finite temperature.

We conclude that this critical point in entanglement of the spi ns (1/2,1) for antiferromagnetic case indicates the presence of the quantum phase transition at finite temperature.

Entanglement in a two-spin (1/2, 3/2) mixed-spin Heisenberg XXZ chain with an inhomogeneous external magnetic field

Ke-Tao Guo, M. M. Liang, Hong-Yu Xu +1 more

Using the concept of negativity, we investigate the thermal entanglement of a two-spin (1/2, 3/2) mixed-spin Heisenberg XXZ chain with an inhomogeneous external magnetic field. We obtain the analytical results of entanglement of this model. For the case of uniform magnetic field, we find that the critical temperature increases with the increase of the anisotropy parameter k , and for the same couplings, the critical temperature is higher than the results of the spin-1/2 XXZ chain and (1/2, 1) mixed-spin XXZ chain. Evidence of the quantum phase transition is found, and by adjusting the inhomogeneous magnetic parameter b , one is able to obtain more entanglement at higher temperature.

Ground-State and Thermal Entanglement in Three-Spin Heisenberg- XXZ Chain with Three-Spin Interaction

Yong Zhang, Long Gui-Lu

The entanglement properties of a three-spin XXZ Heisenberg chain with three-spin interaction are studied by means of concurrence of pairwise entanglement. We show that ground-state pairwise entanglement, pairwise thermal entanglement, or quantum phase transition is not present in antiferromagnetic spin chain. For the ferromagnetic case, quantum phase transition takes place at Δ = 1 for anisotropic interaction and at some values of three-spin coupling strength, and pairwise thermal entanglement increases when the value of J / T increases and with anisotropic interaction and three-spin interaction decrease. In addition, we find that increasing the anisotropic interaction and the three-spin interaction will decrease critical temperature.

Thermal entanglement in the Heisenberg XXZ model under an inhomogeneous magnetic field

We study the thermal entanglement in the two-qubit anisotropic XXZ model in the presence of an external inhomogeneous magnetic field along the z axis.Concurrence, the measurement of entanglement,is calculated. The effects of the anisotropic parameter Δ on the thermal entanglement are studied carefully for both the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic cases. The critical temperature Tc can also be controlled by the anisotropic parameter Δ.

Thermal entanglement in three-qubit Heisenberg models

Wang, X, Fu, H, A. I. Solomon

We study pairwise thermal entanglement in three-qubit Heisenberg models and obtain analytic expressions for the concurrence. We find that thermal entanglement is absent from both the antiferromagnetic XXZ model, and the ferromagnetic XXZ model with anisotropy parameter Δ≥1. Conditions for the existence of thermal entanglement are discussed in detail, as is the role of degeneracy and the effects of magnetic fields on thermal entanglement and the quantum phase transition. Specifically, we find that the uniform magnetic field can induce entanglement in the antiferromagnetic XXX model, but cannot induce entanglement in the ferromagnetic XXX model.
